    When Liam got back, Celeste was already in bed, with only a warm yellow light left on in the room.


    He took off his coat and threw it on the couch, then sat down on the bed.

    Worried about Grandpa David, Celeste put on a coat and prepared to go out.


    But before she reached the door, there was a sudden power outage, and the room was plunged into


    darkness.


    She could only use her phone for light. Suddenly, the ship lurched violently, and she slipped, her knee


    hitting the table. The pain made her let go of her phone, which fell to the floor and turned off.


    The room was instantly plunged into darkness again.


    Unable to find the safety chair, Celeste was tossed about like a floating weed with the rocking of the


    ship.


    She didn’t know how many times she had been hit, and when she finally fell, she managed to grab the


    leg of the safety chair. She knelt down, holding onto the chair leg for dear life.
