Chapter 96
Chapter 96
Celeste didn’t mention her bathroom rescue, as there was no need. On one hand, she didn’t know the
person she saved, and on the other hand, thinking about fishing in the toilet with her bare hands made
her feel ufortable.
Having this experience once was enough, better not to advertise it.
“Climbed out the window?” Liam was somewhat surprised.
Celeste didn’t notice his expression and nodded, “Yeah, I climbed out, went along the wall to the next
room, and Mr. Fletcher happened to be in the bathroom, so he helped me.”
Liam’s face turned serious, and he asked in a low voice, “What was Mason doing in the bathroom?”
Celeste found the question odd, “What else could he be doing? Of course, he was taking a leak.”
Liam asked in a deep voice, “Did you see it?”
“Huh?”
Celeste didn’t react for a moment.
Liam red at her, “You saw it!”
Celeste was startled back to her senses, her face turning flushed as she red at him, “No! When I
climbed to the next window, he had juste in! What’s with your dirty thoughts?!”
Liam’s anger faded, and he looked closely at her wounds.
There were obvious abrasions on her right wrist, arge patch of blood on her skin, and the torn area
had rough, exposed flesh. Normally at home, when peeling an apple and identally cutting a bit of
skin, even if it didn’t bleed, she would whine. But now, with her wrist like this, she didn’t cry out in pain.

It was the same with the car ident. That night, she hade home with injuries but said nothing.
She didn’t want to show any more pain to him, or rather, she didn’t want to show her vulnerable side to
him.
This realization made Liam feel somewhat lost.
It was hard for him to describe this feeling. He was a person who hated trouble, whether in work or life.
The simpler and more straightforward, the better.
But Celeste wasn’t like that.
When they got married, he knew she was a troublesome woman.
Despite having no emotional foundation, she insisted on having aplete wedding and a normal
marriage; after the wedding, she voluntarily changed some of his habits, like drinking milk before bed
and putting aroma stones in the car.
Her arrival disrupted his long-established habits, sometimes making him feel annoyed.
She would ask if her clothes looked good; if he said they were average, she’d think he was perfunctory;
if he said they looked bad, she’d think he had no taste.
