    She dragged Sophie to the door but not before she sent another hasty apology to Jolene.

    “There’s no need.” Jolene escorted them to the elevator, still her smiling self. “It’s nothing serious. I


    already have some medicine.”


    With onest bow, Viona tugged Sophie into the waiting elevator.


    As the doors slid shut, Jolene tilted her head back to watch the blinking numbers descend. She didn’t


    turn around until the elevator had reached the first floor.


    Joyce poked her head out from a corner and cautiously asked, “Miss Marsh, should I bring you a


    cooling ointment?”


    “No, it’s okay.” She began to walk back to her office. “I’ll just ssh some water on my faceter.”


    “That Viona Ger really knows how to behave properly. As the face of the Gers, she’s definitely on a


    different level…” Halfway through her sentence, Joyce caught Jolene’s eye and hurriedly corrected


    herself.
