At 9:00 pm, their flightnded at the airport in Cloud City.

Adeena raised her arm and stopped a car. She helped Ruth put her suitcase in the trunk before she
nonchntly said, “I’ll go back to my own ce. Be safe.”
Ruth bent down and got into the car.
For the first time, she noticed Adeena taking good care of her.

Out of nowhere, Adeena had the urge to see the little girl whose eyes were as watery as grapes.
She had free time, anyway, so she got changed and drove to the orphanage. She knew that the
orphanage would not easily reveal the information about the child‘s foster parents. She had initially
nned to put some effort into hearing from the director. But when she reached the orphanage, the
director told her everything before she even asked.
“I remember you. Aren‘t you the kind person who sent Grapie back to the orphanage the other day?”
The director sighed. “Something happened to Grapie a month after she was adopted.” Adeena‘s heart
suddenly seized. “What happened?”
“Her foster parents took her to the theme park, and a car ident happened on the way. Her foster
parents were mildly injured, but Grapie…” The director‘s eyes turned red. “When the ident
happened , the girl hugged her foster mother‘s head. Her foster mother turned out fine, but a car
essory pierced Grapie in the back. Her lung was punctured, and she experienced massive bleeding
. She‘s still in the ICU…”
Adeena‘s heart instantly sank.
She felt her hand shaking. “Which–Which hospital?”
“A few days ago, Grapie‘s foster mother came to me and asked me to help her find Grapie‘s biological
parents.” When Adeena heard what the director said, she immediately asked, “Don‘t they want to adopt
Grapie anymore?”
“That‘s not the case,” the director said. “Grapie‘s severely injured, and she bled a lot. Her blood type is
extremely rare. I forgot what blood type it is, but it‘s the type that only her biological parents would
have. That‘s why I have to find her biological parents so that she can
be saved.”
Adeena pursed her lips.

Adeena only noticed that Adeline had dark circles and looked tired when she walked closer. Adeline
must not have been sleeping well for a few days.
