    It was not until the warm winter sun shone in from the balcony that Adina and Duke woke upzily.


    It was already 8:00 am. The two of them, who rarely woke upte, had gotten busy the entire night, so

    He lifted the nket and got up. When he looked at the withered leaves and warm winter sun outside

    After Adina and Duke got ready, they went downstairs . The children had already gone to preschool.


    Following breakfast, Duke drove Adina to LaStar Technology Corporation and stopped downstairs.

    She carried a small leather bag and walked into the office building in her high heels. Ever since she


    came back from abroad, she had not been to thepany much. She needed to slowly take care of

    Luckily, Serene was a capable and self–driven assistant. She would handle all the trivial matters, so the


    remaining work was the big projects that were more important and involved a higher amount of funds.


    Adina flipped through the project documents that had piled up. Most of them were existing problems left


    from Daugherty Corporation, so she did not me Serene for not handling them separately. She drank


    some coffee as she worked, and time passed by silently.


    “Ms. Daugherty, a man is here to see you. His family name is Gardner, and he says he‘s your cousin–


    inw.”


    Serene knocked on the office door, walked in, and reported.


    Adina was a little stunned. It took her a while to recall who this cousin–inw was.


    When she was about 17, she attended Sophia‘s wedding, and that was the only time that she had met

    came here today to apologize on Sophia‘s behalf. She said a lot of things that offended youst night, I
