    What was going on? Why was that childish conversation in her dream almost identical to the words


    Lucas had said to her at the restaurant earlier that evening?


    Or perhaps she had had this dream because of what he had said?

    “What’s wrong?” she heard Jackson ask her. “Are you feeling unwell?”


    “No,” she replied. “Just a headache.”


    He raised his hand and gently pressed his warm fingertips on her torehead and temples, massaging


    her. He used just the right amount of strength, and it really did sonthe her a lot.

    “Hetter now?” he asked.


    “Yeah,” she nodded. “I’m feeling a little better now.”

    what’s been causing your headache.”


    “No, it’s fine. I think I’m only having a headache because I had a weird dream after hearing what Lucas


    said to me this evening.


    “What did you say?” Jackson stopped massaging her abruptly. “What did Lucas say to you?”


    “He came to the restaurant today.” Serenity exined. “I think he thought I was the woman he’s been


    looking for, and he said a lot of weird things to me, and then… just now, I had a dream where I saw two


    children talking to each other, and they were saying the same thing Lucas said to me earlier.”


    Jackson’s face turned gloomy. He asked her, ‘What exactly happened in your dreamn?”


    Serenity then recounted her dream to him and added, “I think I was influenced by Lucas’s words. That’s


    why I had such a drearm. He said 1 had said those words to him, but I don’t have any memory of it at


    all.”


    “That’s only because you lost your memories of that day!’ Jackson silently thought to himself.


    Back then, she had had a high fever and lost her memory of that day,pletely forgetting everything


    that had happened. Jackson knew all this because when he sensed that Serenity might be the woman


    Lucas was searching for, he had hired some people to investigate the matter. It had taken them quite a


    while, but they had finally found out from the hospital records that she had been hospitalized at the


    time, and from the hospital files, they had also found out that she had lost her memory of that day.


    It was only the memories of one single day. The woman beside him probably thought nothing of it. In
