“I think so,” Serenity replied. “I know everything about his family, his career, his daily routine, his

Serenity stared at her friend with some surprise, making Lisa bhish in embarrassment.
“What I meant to say,” Lisa exined, “is that this guy is Jackson Valor, after all! Haven’t you heard
of… the rumors about his ruthlessness, and all the terrible things that happened to those who offended
him?”
Serenity slowly Inwered her gaze, finally understanding what her friend was trying to tell her. It was just
like what had happened to her in prison. How could she forget what all those people had done to her
just because she was guilty of offending Jackson Valor?

“Lisa,” Serenity said, loolong straight into her friend’s eyes, “Sometimes, you just don’t know what’s
going to happen if you don’t take that first step. I’ve made up my mind to take this step because I truly
believe that no one else in this world loves me as much as Jackson does.”
Lisa’s heart trembled when she saw that determined look in her best friend’s eyes. They had known
each other for so many years now, so she knew just how much Serenity longed for her own family.
It was only natural for human beings to be like that. The more theycked something in their life, the
more they longed for

“I guess you’re right,” Lisa replied “Sometimes, you just have to take that first step. Still, no matter what
happens in the future, don’t you ever forget that I’m always by your side, okay? We’ll always be best
