    “Alright, let’s eat,” Jackson urged.


    The four of them had lunch together, and while eating the shrimp, Serenity felt a little shy when


    Jackson offered to peel them for her. Her best friend, Lisa, and Terry were both staring. Lisa even


    winked at her, making Serenity flush with embarrassment.


    Jackson, on the other hand, seemed rxed. He did not care about the stares.


    When they finished the meal, Jackson reminded Serenity, “Don’t forget to take your medicine 20


    minutes after the meal.”


    “Okay Serenity responded


    “Are you sick? List was shocked and asked with concern.


    “No, not really. It’s some kind of medicine for joint pain,” Serenity exined.


    Lisa was surprised. Lisa knew that her friend had health issues after spending three years in prison.


    Serenity suffered from Theumatism and pain, particrly in cold and cloudy weather.


    Lisa had previously tried to get Serenity to go to the hospital and get it checked, but Serenity would


    always gave her the same excuse. She understood Serenity’s concerns. Serenity probably found it too


    expensive to treat the problem and decided to endure the pata. Lisa had offered to pay for her, but


    Serenity would always refuse.


    Serenity had finally begun to care for her health, which had to be Jackson’s work. Lisa found Jackson


    more favorable at that realization


    Jackson had indirectly caused Serenity’s suffering in prison, but he had not known Serenity before.


    Lisa could see that Jackson treated Serenity very well. It would be great if Jackson could be the one for


    Serenity. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise which might eventually lead to Serenity’s happy ending.


    When it time for her medicine, Jackson got a ss of warm water and grabbed the medicine for


    Serenity. He then put the pills in her hand and told her to take them

    Jackson was meticulous and gentle, and as Lisa watched from beside then, she felt that Jackson truly


    loved Serenity


    Love was action. A man in love with a woman would prove it with his actions, not by money or empty


    words.


    After taking the medicine, Lisa Look Serenity to the restroom. She asked curiously. “Are you really


    dating Jackson now?


    “Yeah” Serenity nodded frankly, She confessed, Lisa, I originally thought I wouldn’t fall in love again,


    but… I really want to be with him now I’ll try and see whether our love willst.”


    Her love was cautious. She had been hurt once, so she had to be extra vignt about every step she

    “Maybe it will” Lisa patted Serenity on the shoulder. “I thought it was impossible between you and


    Jackson before, but I’ve changed my mind. I can tell he’s serious about you. I mean, people say all


    lends of things about him, but his history with women seems pretty clean. He has only ever had a


    fiancee, and that was Mira..”


    Lisa paused abruptly at the mention of Mira’s name. She nced at Serenity embarrassedly. Mira Hall


    was not just Jackson’s previous fiancee but also the victim of the car ident.
