    “Yanny’s surgery went well!” Serenity heard ra’s voice say from the other end of the line. “The


    doctor said he’d need about two days to get used to it and then he’ll be able to start the training to


    recognize sounds and voices.”


    “That’s great!” cried Serenity with joy. I’lle over and visit Yanny this afternoon, then.”


    She then asked ra where Yanny’s hospital ward was and ended the call


    “Was that about the deaf kid?” Jackson asloed


    “Yeah,” she replied. “Yanny’s operation went well, and since I’m free in the afternoon, I think I’ll go visit

    “I’ll go with you, then,” said Jackson


    “Go with me?” Serenity’s eyes widened with surprise. “But don’t you still need to work?”


    “I’ll just let my secretary postpone my appointments this afternoon. There’s nothing urgent, anyway.”
