“But even if Lucas really wants to sn atch you away from me,” Jackson asked in a whispering voice, “he
still won’t get what he wants, right? Because I’m the man you like the most, and I’m also the man
you’re destined to fall in love with one day, right?” His warm breath tickled her face, and soon after she
heard his voice, his kiss quickly followed as itnded gently on her lips. He would never let anyone take
her away from him. She was his and his alone!
When Serenity woke up the next day, Jackson had already gone to work. So, after eating her breakfast,
she went straight to preparing his lunch
Both the lunch box and the cooking ingredients were already there for her in the kitchen of the Valor
Residence. In fact, even the cook was there by her side, and he had been ordered to give Serenity any
assistance or help that she might need.
When the lunch was finally prepared, even Serenity felt that her cooking skills had improved to a higher
level. So, with the lunchbox in tow, she headed to the Valor Group building, but because she was
driven there by the Valor family’s driver, the security guards were all shocked to see her when she
stepped out of the car.
Many employees in thepany now knew that this mysterious delivery rider was not to be trifled with,
but none of them would ever think that she would change her mode of transport from an electric
scooter to a private car so quickly!

By then, Serenity was already on somewhat friendly terms with the security guards, so as she walked
past them, she greeted them with a friendly, “Good afternoon!”
The guards stutteringly replied, “Good… Good afternoon!”
With the lunchbox in her hand, Serenity effortlessly arrived at Jackson’s floor without any hindrance
from anyone. Everyone on this floor knew Serenity by now, and a lot of them even knew that although
this woman was a mere rider, her rtionship with the CEO was definitely out of the ordinary.
Serenity asked, “Umm, is Mr. Valor in his office?”
“He is,” a secretary replied.
“Is there anyone else in the office with him?” Serenity asked again, just to be safe. After all, she had no
desire to face any of the executives in Jackson’s office right now since it was sure to create an
awkward scene.
“No,” the secretary told her. “No one else is in there with Mr. Valor.”
Only upon hearing this did Serenity then head toward Jackson’s office. She knocked on the door twice
and opened the door then entered the room. He was sitting at his desk and seemed to be… In a video
conference!
Serenity was immediately awash with embarrassment. So… he really was alone in his office, but that
was only because he was in the middle of a video conference! Fortunately, the camera was not faced
in her direction, so she did not have to worry about being seen.
“You’re here!” Jackson called out. “Give me a second, the meeting’s almost over.”
“Okay,” replied Serenity in a voice as small as an ant’s.
Serenity then walked over to the coffee table. Before she could put down themchbox, she could hear
the voice in the video saying, “Oh, is that the same woman we saw in thest meeting, Jackson?”
“Perhaps it’s someone else,” Interjected another voice.
“That can’t be. I’ve never heard Jackson talk to any other woman with such a gentle tone before.”

All those people were speaking French, and they were all discussing whether she was the same
woman whose face they had seen in thest meeting. Although Serenity was tot very fluent in French,
she was still good enough toprehend the whole
conversation.
