    A long passeter, Serenity heard a soft sigh It in the room. Jackson straightened up and looked at her


    with a helpless look in his beautiful eyes.


    “Only you.”


    She was the only one who could make him like this, Jackson longed for her to miss him, and only she


    would refuse to answer him. Even so, he could not do anything about it.


    Jackson seemed less and less like his old sell whenever he was with her.


    “Hey, help me dry my hair.” Jackson handed her the towel he had used earlier.


    Serenity was stunned for a moment and stared nkly at him. Jackson leaned forward, his head close


    to her.


    “What’s wrong? Didn’t you use to dry my hair when we were staying in the rented ce?” Jackson


    asked with an arched. eyebrow.


    ‘But that was different!’ Serenity thought, her lips pursed. Nevertheless, she finally put the towel over


    his head and began to dry his wet hair.


    Serenity rxed a little as the towel covered his face. Jackson behaved like an obedient puppy as she


    dried his hair. This moment gave her a strange feeling, almost as if she was his master, and he was


    bowing to her.


    Serenity immediatelyughed at the thought in her mind. God, what was she thinking?! In reality, their


    roles were reversed- she was as weak as an ant to him, and he could crush her at will, rendering her


    unable to fight back at all.


    Was it because of his docility at the moment? Was it his meekness that gave rise to her illusion?


    Serenity was done after a while and took off the towel. “It’s done.”


    Jackson’s freshly dried hair was messy at the moment. His bangs covered his forehead and most of his


    eyes, which reminded Serenity of the old Jack


    Jackson’s gaze pinned onto her, and the pair of dark eyes behind his bangs seemed to draw her


    attention in and captivate her soul. She could not resist wanting to see more of it.


    Serenity reached out her hand and gently moved his bangs away from his eyes to see his eyes clearly.


    His usually cold eyes wereced with surprising rity, beautiful and impressive..


    His gaze on her reflected a glimpse of rare tenderness, almost as if he cherished her the most.


    Serenity jolted at her thoughts and snapped back to her senses. Just as she was about to withdraw her


    hand, Jackson grabbed it and gently pressed it against his cheek.


    “What? You don’t like seeing my face anymore? Didn’t you praise my good looks before, saying you


    wouldn’t ever get bored seeing my face daily?” Jackson rasped in a low murmur, his cheek rubbing


    against her hand gently as if showing his infinite


    love for her.


    Serenity flushed red and regretted what she had said previously. She turned away, not daring to look at


    his face again. Just staring at his face seemed to make her even more flustered.


    Suddenly, Serenity’s gaze fell on a bowl on the table. The bowl was already empty, but she could see


    some dark brown residue


    in the bowl


    “You had some herbal medicine?” Serenity asked almost by reflex and turned to Jackson in surprise.

    “Yeah.” Jackson’s answer was a soft murmur.


    “Are you not well?” she asked.


    “It’s herbal medicine for the stomach. Didn’t you tell me to take care of my health? I did what you told


    me to do,” Jackson exined.


    A smile tugged up theers of his mouth. Somehow, he looked like he was waiting for her praise


    Serenity felt overwhelmed. Should she go pat him on the head and praise him?


    “T–that’s great,” she finally managed to choke a reply after a long silence.
