    Money? Serenity did not have money. She did not have any connections either,

    Jackson’s gaze darkened. He red at her with a look of shock and a hint of anger.

    Jackson knew Serenity had her pride. Even if hurt or ridiculed, she would protect her List bit of dignity,

    Serenity had offered the only thing she could give, but he had rejected it. Unable to exchange her offer


    for his favor, she had no choice but to rely on herself.


    Serenity did not ask for more. She knew that when the other party was unwilling to agree, continually


    asking was ultimately self–defeating

    Serenity approached the main door when suddenly, a hand grabbed her by the arm and pulled her out


    of Valor Residence, taking her to the ce where the car was parked.


    Serenity stated at Jackson in a daze, overwhelmed and unable to react to his actions.


    Jackson opened the car door and practically tossed Serenity into the passenger seat. He then


    mmed the door shut and go back into the driver’s seat.


    “Tasten the seatbelt yourself,” Jackson scowled and started the car.
