from asking once again.
Instead of answering her, he asked, “Why did you change your mind so suddenly and decide to let
them go now?”
“My grandma’s in bad health,” She told him the truth. “She’s been hospitalized, and I don’t want her to
get worse because she’s worried about her family.”
“Is that so?” He asked in a soft, deep voice, not unlike the sound of a cello. “It looks like your grandma
is very important to you. So important that you woulde back to me begging only a few dayster
just because of her.”
Her nostrils were filled with his warm breath and scent. It felt like all the blood in her body was now
flowing into her two hands, which were firmly in his.
“What about me?” He raised his head suddenly and asked. His striking eyes were now focused on
hers, almost as if he was trying to look straight into her soul. “Am I Important to you?”
Her body trembled, and her almond–shaped eyes met his dark eyes in panic.
She could see her nervous self reflected in those eyes of his.

He leaned down, Inching his face ever closer to hers, and his warm breath tickled her face as he said,
“I guess I’m not that important to you, am I? Otherwise, you wouldn’t have left me so eagerly. I’m
probably just someone you disdain, huh?”
While her hands were still warm, she could feel her body getting colder and colder as she stared
nkly at the handsome face that was merely inches away from her. His expressions were still just as
gentle as before. In fact, even the way his hands were holding hers was still just as tender and
cautious, but his eyes were unmistakably icy.
