Chapter 278 Approach From Another Angle


    This time, Melissa was involved in a criminal case, and even if Freya wanted to temporarily hide it from

    “The case involving Mel hasn’t been resolved yet,” Braxton replied seriously. The police currently won’t


    allow bail.”


    Melissa wiped away her tears, her voice resolute. “Dad, Mom, and Aunt Sylvia, don’t worry. It’s okay for


    me to stay here for a while, but I want you to find out who killed Benjamin!”


    Freya, standing aside, reassured her, “Don’t be afraid, Mel. We’ll do our best to investigate, but the top


    priority now is to clear your suspicion.”


    She didn’t dare to promise Melissa that they would definitely catch the killer. Since those people dared

    Both the Marshalls and Kaufmanns were aware of Melissa’s temperament, but that didn’t matter much.


    In the afternoon, the police summoned Noah and Ashley for further investigation.


    When the two of them returned, their faces were grim.


    “The police asked us about Mel’s personal matters, but we could tell that they were trying to indirectly


    assess whether she had any motive to harm others or had an anti-social personality.” Ashley rted,


    her voice trembling.

    Breaking into the police station to steal evidence was too bold, and Freya wasn’t going to take that step

    Braxton looked at the time. “Uncle Noah, Aunt Ashley, it’s already past one. You probably haven’t even


    had breakfast. Go have lunch first, and then think about it.”


    Ashley wiped her tears. “I really can’t cat. You go ahead.”


    “Aunt Ashley, Mel’s suspicion hasn’t been cleared yet, and we don’t know how long the investigation
