Chapter 247 Let’s Meet Before You Leave

Chapter 247 Let’s Meet Before You Leave

    Freya pondered for a moment.

“Brax, I’m already almost nine months pregnant now. In a short while, it will be my due date. I’ve

thought. about it, and I want to go to Vroria to give birth.”

“To Vroria?” Braxton furrowed his brows. “Why do you want to go

“To avoid Radley.” Freya pursed her lips.

Braxton fell silent, understanding Freya’s intention. there?”

I’m okay with you going to Grandma’s ce. Besides Caltun, Vroria is the only ce I feel at ease

about. But I still need to discuss this with Mom.”

“I’ll talk to her when shees back, but there’s another matter now.” Freya frowned.

“Brax, you know that someone has been targeting our family, all because of The Compendium of

    Medical Wisdom in my hands.”

Braxton nodded. “Have you figured out the secrets within that book that drove those people crazy?”

Freya shook her head. “Not yet, but Brax, if I’m not in Caltun for the next two months, I want you to

    keep this book for me.”

She took out the book from her pocket and handed it to Braxton.

“The Compendium of Medical Wisdom is hidden within the pages of this book. Brax, you must keep it

safe. Those people have gone to great lengths and even turned against our family. This book must

hold. some secret or value that we don’t know about.”

Braxton epted the book and nodded solemnly. “Don’t worry.”

Later that evening, Sylvia returned home. Freya told her about her n to go to Vroria to give birth.

    Sylvia agreed wholeheartedly.

“It’s not safe for you to go alone. I will apany you

“Mom, I have Grandma, Uncle Marshall, and Aunt Ashley in Vroria. They will take care of me. It will be

safe. You should stay in Caltun. Brax needs you!” Freya firmly refused.

Sylvia swiftly rejected her. “Don’t try to deceive me. Your brother’s marriage is his own business. What

does it have to do with you? Besides, it’s still next year. I want to wait to hold my granddaughter now. If

you don’t let me go with you, you don’t need to go either. I won’t feel at ease if you’re not in front of my

    eyes.”

    Freya felt somewhat helpless.

In the end, she couldn’t resist Sylvia’s insistence and reluctantly agreed.

After dinner, Freya returned to her bedroom.

She had already informed her master and checked Trisha’s pulse. Trisha’s condition was stable, and

    she was recovering.

Brisa was helping in the medical research room.

Now, The Compendium of Medical Wisdom was in Braxton’s hands.

Freya had prepared everything and only needed to inform one more person before going to Vroria.

Her eyes flickered slightly, not because she hadn’t informed Radley, but because she didn’t know how

    to tell him.

She picked up her phone and carefully considered her words.

At the same time, she received a video call from Radley.

Freya was taken aback and answered the video call.

Radley’s face, like a handsome screensaver, appeared on the screen.

“Are you off work?” Freya asked.

Radley nodded. “I’m on my way back to Smalzot Yard. How was your day?”

“It was fine.” Freya hesitated for two seconds.

“Radley, there’s something I need to tell you.”

    “What is it?”

“I n to go to Vroria.”

There was a few seconds of silence on the other end of the phone before Radley’s voice came

    through.

“Why are you going to Vroria? How long will you be there?”

“I’ll probably be there for a little over two months.” Freya paused. “I’m about a month and a half away

from my due date. I n to give birth in Vroria ande back when the baby is a month old.”

Freya calcted in her mind. If she left for Vroria soon, she would give birth in about half a month, and

the baby born two monthster wouldn’t be much different from the one born a month earlier.

Radley had never had a child before, so he probably didn’t know much about babies.

    Perhaps, she could deceive him.

“I’ll apany you.” Radley’s voice sounded.

“No need. I’m not going for just a day or two. I’ll be there for over two months. What will happen to the

Monaghan Group if youe with me?” Freya smiled,

Radley’s voice on the other end of the phone became low.

“I’ll worry if you go alone.”

“Don’t worry, I have Grandma, my uncle, and his wife there. Besides, I don’t feel safe staying in

Caltun.” Freya hesitated. “You should know that there are people secretly investigating me.”

    Radley fell into silence.

“I can handle the Monaghan Group remotely. I can apany you to Vroria.”

“Really, there’s no need. I’ll be back as soon as I give birth,” Freya insisted.

After a long silence on Radley’s end, his low and hoarse voice sounded again.

“When do you n to go?”

“I should leave in the next two days.”

Freya listened to the sound of his breathing on the other end and couldn’t help but feel softened.

“Don’t worry, I’ll be back soon.”

“Then, let’s meet before you leave.”

“Okay, I’ll call you when I have a set time.”

Freya chatted with Radley for a while before hanging up the phone, feeling a bit mncholic.

As she gently caressed her belly, her expression becameplicated.

Because her mother was going with her.

So, Freya would follow her arrangements in terms of timing.

In Vroria, the Marshall family was delighted to hear that Freya woulde to have her baby here.

The next day, Ashley called her.

“Frey, we’ve prepared a room and a nursery for you at home. We’ve prepared everything the baby

    needs. When are youing?”

Freya sat in the living room and nced at Sylvia beside her.

“Mom, Aunt Ashley is asking when we’re going.”

    Published by N?v''elD/rama.Org.

Sylvia took the phone from Freya’s hand.

“Ashley, we should be going the day after tomorrow. Oh, there’s no need to prepare the nursery. I want

to watch my granddaughter all day when the timees.

Freya listened to her mother’s conversation with her aunt and had a clear idea in her mind.

At 8 p.m., Freya returned to her bedroom from the living room.

She made a phone call to Radley.

The man picked up in no time.

“What’s wrong?” Radley’s voice came through..

    Freya lowered her voice.

“My mom and I are nning to leave the day after tomorrow. Do you have time tomorrow? Let’s meet.”

“Sure. I’lle pick you up tomorrow morning.”

Freya lowered her voice even more..

“Don’te to pick me up. I don’t want my mom to see you. Let’s meet at the West Geft Joint

    Department.”
