    Max''s instincts told him to run, Zack was right behind him.


    Where the hell was Shadow? Max takes a look to his left where all the trees covered the sun. In the distance, he could see a familiar black wolf running up to them.

    Shadow was first to reach Matthew before Max and Zack did.

    "Matthew, what''s wrong?" Zack asked him. Matthew shot a confused look at him. "Who the hell is Matthew? Who are you people?"

    "What did I say about controlling those thoughts? I don''t want to hear it!" Shadow responds to Max, then turns his head to Matthew.


    "That''s you!" Zack said to Matthew. The small wolf didn''t believe him though.


    Shadow whispered something to him and it settled him down.


    "Matthew?" Max began.


    "You can''t call him by that name anymore." Shadow declared. Irritation grew inside of Max. "Why? Another part of the curse? We can''t just remind him?


    Shadow didn''t reply.


    "So what do we call him now?" Zack too was annoyed by Shadow. The black wolf then simply responded. "Whatever you want." Then he turned heel and walked away.
