    preparing herself to pounce.Ruby immediately let go out of fear.


    “The bodyguard’s with you. Don’t be afraid.” Kevan smiled, soothing her gently.


    Dn looked at his watch and spoke up just at the right time. “Mr. Rogers, I have a video call


    appointment with a client at 1:30 pm. Could you please send me back to the hotel first?


    “Of course.” Kevan agreed at once. He said to Ruby with some helplessness, “Well we’ll be going then.


    After you’re done at the hospital call me.”


    Ruby reluctantly said. “Okay.”


    The moment he was in the car, Kevan cumped Mullin on Dn’sp, which startled the hell out of the


    latter. He leared back, arms held safely out of the way as he eximed tearfully. “Could you please put


    it in the backseat?


    Kevan eyed him and chortled. “Scaredy-call” He then added. “This car’s st upid. It wont w at you at


    random.”


    “Who are you kidding?!” Dn red as he used him, “Do you think I’m blind? I saw how it wed


    at Ruby for sure!”


    The moment he said that, M uffin looked up and meowed at him twice. Her deep blue eyes showed


    cluelessness as if she was wondering


    what he was talking about. Dn looked down at her and held his breath out of fear. But she did not go


    crazy after a long wait.


    M uffin licked her paws before curling up in hisp, going to sleep peacefully, which conlused the heck


    out of Dn.


    “What the hell is going on?” He asked Kevan.


    “I told you-it won’t w at you at random Kevan’s gaze remained fixed on the front as he drove


    steadily.


    “Then why did it w at Ruby? Dn was still shaken up from the memory of that scene.

    you have at home, right? To be honest, though, it looks prettier than the one you have.”


    Unable to hold himsell back, Dn carefully reached out and stroked Mullin’s back. Seeing that she did


    not react, he stroked her with more force, before rubbing her back. M uffin remained fast asleep.


    Kevan could not bear to hear people speaking badly about his kitten, so he mocked Dn for being


    blind. Dn did not bother squabbling with him as a cal’s beauty was a rather subjective malter.


    Everyone had their own opinion on beauty after all,


    “What did you mean when you said that you were going to take this cat back to Larissa? Is this


    Larissa’s cat? Dn then asked again.


    “It’s a gift from my mom to Larissa. Ruby liked it so I gave it to her.” Kevan pressed his lips lightly

    “Are you insane?” Agitated, Dn failed to control his volce’s volume. “Have you ever thought that you


    will only push Larissa lurther away from you like this?
