Chapter 340
Chapter 340
Larissa never opened the door for Lucas, In the end. She had suffered too much under the hands of
the Seymours. Now that Lucas was considered a hall Seymour, she naturally could not let down her
guard.
“Then you’d better wait for Kevan toe back I guess.” She used this excuse to refuse him. “He’s not
at home now. There’s no point
even if you came all this way now.”
Lucas was going to say something else when Larissa disconnected the call and unplugged the calling
device’s power. At any rate, no one else but Lucas would use this.
Larissa thought that this matter was over, but in less than two hourster, she received a call from
Violet
Violet asked her, “Lari, are you home right now?” Her voice was a little odd it sounded both apologetic
and ttering.
Larissa guessed that she probably still minded the news about Kevan and Ruby being together.
“Yeah, I’m home,” Larissa replied with a smile, her voice was just as gentle as before. “When are you
coming over today?”
Violet stammered for a moment and said, “I won’t be going over today. I send a driver to pick you up.
You’ll being over to our ce
here instead.”
Larissa did not think too much into this and said readily, “Sure.”
The Rogers driver arrived hall an hourter.
Larissa had plugged in the calling device’s power prior to that, but Lucas never called on her again-
probably because he had rung her too many times only for her to not respond, so he slunk away.

After she got into the car, she asked the driver curiously, “Have visitorse to visit? Otherwise, she
could not think of any other reason that would prevent Violet from leaving to the point that she needed
to call her over.
The driver thought about it and nodded, “Indeed, two visitors in fact.”
Larissa let out an “Oh,” of acknowledgment before she began to take care of her clothes and outward
appearance. Thankfully, she had thought of this before leaving the house, so her dressing was still
decent. She would not embarrass Kevan’s parents when she arrived at
their home.
Yet another half an hour passed, and the car finally arrived at the Rogers family vi.
Larissa was weed enthusiastically by the household staff, and she immediately caught sight of
Violet, who was sitting in the middle of the sofa, while Yvette and Lana were sitting on each side of her.
Larissa’s hands, which had been wheeling her wheelchair, stilled. Her heart plummeted in her chest.
She could not guess why Yvette and Lana came here, but it did not take much for her to figure out that
whatever it was-it could not be good.
Seeing her, Violet waved her over with a smile. “Larl,e.”
The household staff pushed her over to Violet, and Larissa greeted her mother-inw belore greeting
Yvette, “Aunt Yvette.”
Yvette’s expression looked unpleasant. “Come to me, Lan,” she ordered tly, but Larissa did not
move.
“Howe you found the time toe. Aunt Yvette? She asked as I she were catching up with her,
acting like she had not heard her speak
Yvette’sce became more thunderous than ever.
‘I came due to your marriage with Kevan, of course.” Her voice was chiling, and her gaze at Violet was
even worse.
