Introduction: Freeing Spirits is a series of short stories following the life of a spook named Gadalik as he tries to help ghosts with their unfinished business, which ranges from rekindling past relationships to getting justice for victims of murder.  Not every ghost wants help, though, and most that do may have a hard time accepting it.  Some ghosts don't believe they're dead, while others may turn into monsters. Gadalik must learn the hard way what methods he should acquire to free spirits from the living world.With his friends and family there to support him, and through his experiences with the supernatural, Gadalik learns more about the world--particularly its negative history involving witches--and himself, allowing him to further help others, including ghosts, along the way....
