Chapter 100 Jeffrey, Thank You!
Betty had no choice. So she let Peter push her
in.
At the sight of Betty, Emily’s tears dried up and her eyes swelled with jealousy.
Jeffrey looked at his fiancée and quickly said, “Emily, you may go out and wait for a
while.”
Emily
was reluctant to do so. But he insisted. So she could do nothing but obey his request. Before leaving th
e ward, she gave Betty a ferocious stare.

chin, forced her to look up at him, and said in a cold voice, “Betty, I won’t let you call yourself unworthy.
Besides, it is not up to you to decide. I have the final say. Do you understand?”
Betty looked at Jeffrey in front of her. The
love and tenderness for her were all palpable
in his gaze.
She couldn’t help panicking.
No, it must not happen.
She knew deeply that it was impossible between her and Jeffrey.

looked into Jeffrey’s eyes. She could see his tenderness in them. Also, he had tried desperately to save

All of the evidence proved that he still loved her. He was totally not over her.
He tortured her before because he wasn’t
over her; he expected something more that
he shouldn’t have been expecting after
knowing the truth because he wasn’t over
her.
But there was no hope between them.
She had be his aunt, and he was about to be her brother–in–
law. They were destined to be the most familiar strangers in
the world.
The feeling of bitterness seemed to be stirring in her heart, which made it almost unbearable for her.
She thought Jeffrey might be the one who she might spend with the rest of her lifetime. But she didn’t e

Betty nodded.
As soon as Peter left, Emily cast away her
disguise and directly shouted at Betty, “Betty
