    “Yes, Thane is on his way. Leo came to warn us. He said he had to jump from the car. Grab the first aid


    kit too. I’m not sure what condition he’ll be in.” Kingsley nods, his head darting off. While Corbin actually


    looks concerned that Thane was near, and he should be.


    Thane petrified me, and he was my mate, he actually liked me, so I would hate to be one of his enemies


    and on his hit list. My heart races when I see Corbin start stalking toward me, and I shuffle back, my back


    hitting one of the bookshelves. “Eithere willingly, Love, or I willmand you.” Corbin purrs,


    reaching for me. I shake my head and Talon growls at him.


    “Corbin, just give up. You’re screwed. Leave her be.” Talon growls and Corbin smirks and bends down,

    against the bookcase as he stands upright. A brown handle protruding from his stomach, the same


    brown handle I saw protruding from Talon. I blink as his shirt turns red, staining with his blood. Corbin

    and Bree roared as Corbin shed Talon’s throat.


    I scream, moving to grip his neck when Corbin plunged the knife into his chest, making me jump.

    “Well, well, what have we got here.” Leo’s voice says, and Corbin spins. A huge grin splitting onto his


    face as Leo appearsing through the door. Leo ispletely naked, covered in blood.


    Corbin instantly embraces him before kissing him. Tears prick my eyes as Talon’s blood pools on the


    floor, coating my legs and hands where I sat frozen in shock. He killed him. Talon died trying to help me.


    He is dead. How was I going to tell Leon, his cousin died for me.


    I jerk my hand away as his blood covers my fingers, and a whimper escapes me, sending everyone’s


    attention to me. “How did you escape?” Corbin questions.


    “They left the door unlocked, they didn’t realize I am crazy enough to try it, I jumped from the car.


    Fucking hurt. Damn near skinned me alive.” Leo tells him, looking down at his body, but what ever


    injuries he had were now healed. Corbin cocks his head to the side.


    “Where?” Corbin questions.


    Leo shrugs. “On the bend at the bottom of the mountain, I shifted and ran the rest of the way.


    Come across a few rogues too.”


    “They didn’t try to catch you?” Corbin presses, his aura slipping out and testing him.

    “Yes, Thane, Rhen and Raidon gave chase before giving up. But Corbin, we need to get out of here.


    Authorities are everywhere, they have all the entrances surrounded, even been sending drones in to


    watch. We can’t stay here, we need to take her and run.” Leo informs him, and tears prick my eyes at his


    betrayal.


    Corbin exhales but shakes his head. “No, we need to get this over with. Grab her.” .niniz He


    tells Leo. Leo nces at me, a smile moving onto his face. His eyes flicker, “My pleasure,” Leo purrs,


    stalking toward me, and I shake my head and p his reaching hands away. “Don’t touch me!” I snap at


    him.

    grips my arms. I thrash, but he presses me against the bookcase. “Watch it, she fucking bites!” Corbin


    tells him.


    Leo nces over his shoulder at him before looking back at me. He gnashes his teeth next to my face. ”

    trying to rip my arms from his grip, he tosses me over his shoulder and then smacks my ass before
