As the days progressed , Alex decided to give a downgraded version of blueprints from the cargo ship and a designer program for spaceships to the UN.


    According to Da’grass , it would probably be better than what other countries might purchase in the mall since the initial purchase of technology was costlier the more advanced it was .


    The UN sent more directives what the spaceport should consist of and the minimum number of soldiers it should house at all times .


    After a week passed , they sent the coordinates where the spaceport should be built , and Alex immediately send over the first batch of equipment and droids with the converted colony builder .


    The construction of the other colonies was put on hold until all the equipment needed for the construction of the spaceport was sent .


    Alex diverted some miners and cargo ships to speed up the construction of the spaceport , which would slow down the construction of other facilities , but this would only last until the next batch of miners was finished .


    According to Da’grass , the location provided by the UN was large enough to act as a mid-sized spaceport capable of transporting civilians and military personnel , if the UN permitted it .


    The military part wouldn’t be accessible to civilians , of course , but that decision up to the UN .


    After relaying this information , Alex received news that this was acceptable , and Da’grass finalized the spaceport plans .


    At Alex’s request , the spaceport would have bunkers , shields and the same defense armament as the colony .


    Da’grass noted that the bunkers wouldn’t be necessary with the shields , but Alex insisted , saying the military loved their bunkers and that the command center should be located within one .


    Da’grass reluctantly agreed but asked Alex to not share the technology blueprints of the shields and defense armament .


    With everything in order , construction of the spaceport could start barely one week after negotiations .


    The use of the luxury passenger ships was also met with great enthusiasm .


    The scientists were ecstatic about being allowed to use the passenger ships to visit and study the exoplanets , leading to another wave of equipment requests submitted to Da’grass .


    Half of the cargo rooms on the ships were converted to support scientific research , and an additional 200 researchers ,mainly biologists , were to be picked up by the converted colony builder when it returned to deliver another batch of equipment and droids .


    There wasn’t an exact departure date yet , but spirits were high among the scientists who hadn’t even settled in their new environment .


    I the meantime  ,Alex received a message from Cathy stating that the amusement park world was ready to be launched and asked if he wanted to be the first to use it together with Helena .


    Alex replied that he would be honored and sent an invitation to Sam and Helena .


    Sam couldn’t make it , but Helena was happy to join him , and since Sam couldn’t join them , they considered it a date .


    That evening , they logged in with the help of Da’grass and were surprised by what they saw .


    There were rides everywhere as far as the eye could see , gates connecting the different areas , food and drink stands , bars , restaurants and even gift shops .


    Alex was confused about the gift shops and sent a message to Cathy about them , but she answered that the items could be sent to their home in the Nexus as a memento .


    Cathy had to send a request to the ‘admin’ of the Nexus to be able to do so since it was considered a game , but surprisingly she had received a positive response .


    “Sweetie , look at this ! There is a Water Amusement Nation , Arcade Nation , Carnival Island , Disco Nation and we are in Loco Ride World” said an excited Helena .


    There are others too , but I don’t really know what they mean .


    “Let me have a look” said Alex .


    Crazy Air Nation , Balls Balls Balls Island , hmmm .

    I’m not sure , but maybe Balls refers to something like a ball park ?


    I don’t know about Crazy Air Nation though , and there are a few others I don’t really understand .


    “Never mind , we’ll have plenty of time to discover everything .


    Since we are already here , let’s start with some rides” said Helena .


    So , for the next few hours , they went from one ride to another .


    After that , they went to Arcade Nation and played retro videogames .


    There were many games they didn’t know , and according to Cathy , those were games from her and El’Anor’s home world .


    There was to much to see and to do , so they only enjoyed themselves for a few hours in each area .


    After a while , Helena decided she wanted to close off with Water Amusement Nation , even though they hadn’t seen everything the amusement world had to offer .


    They weren’t disappointed . There were water rides , bars in pools , and much more .


    They settled in a pool bar and had a drink while occasionally dipping their heads in the water .


    “Imagine if the place was filled with people , Alex” said Helena with dreamy eyes .


    “Yeah , I think this will do very well . This place is huge and can be expanded with new attractions if needed , according to Cathy” answered Alex .


    “Alex , Etherea wants to speak with you” said Da’grass suddenly .


    “Well time for me to leave then , I guess” pouted Helena .


    “Da’grass , is it okay if Helena stays ?” asked Alex .


    “I don’t mind if she stays” resonated the voice of Ethera .


    “Hi , Ethera” said Alex .


    “Hello , nice to finally meet you” said Helena .


    “Hello , to the both of you . The reason I’m contacting you is because you’ve created something that can enrich the Nexus” said Etherea .


    While it’s not something that can elevate your tier , I’m authorized to negotiate a deal to acquire this for the Nexus .


    I can offer you credits or technology of the same value .


    “What is it that you want to acquire for the Nexus” asked Alex .


    “Well , it’s this , of course . This amusement park world of yours” replied Ethera.


    I want to make it an option if you go to any gate in the Nexus .


    But since this will deprive you of your income , I have to compensate you for your losses .


    So , is there something that you want if you would be willing to part with it ?


    “Sweetie , maybe we can find something for our fledgling state” said Helena .


    “Etherea , I believe I can buy most of the technology I want myself” replied Alex.


    “You know this isn’t true , Alex ; even you are limited with what you can buy” answered Etherea .


    That might be true , but I’ve looked intensively at the mall and what I want isn’t on it .


    “And what is it that you want ?” asked Etherea .


    “Sweetie , a capital city for our state would be great since the colonies are limited in space” pleaded Helena .


    “A capital city only appears at tier seven in the mall” responded Etherea .


    “But I wanted a power source for the gates , Helena , and Etherea herself says a capital city isn’t available” said Alex .


    “If you want a power source and your girlfriend wants a city there might be a solution in the tier 5 mall” said Etherea reluctantly .


    It’s a main city with a capacity of 10 million people .


    I believe this is the solution that you wanted .


    But since it’s a tier higher than you , it isn’t available for purchase and it’s more expensive than I was willing to negotiate with you .


    “Come on Etherea , please . You said it yourself that in normal conditions I would have been promoted to tier 5 , and I can pay the difference with my own credits” pleaded Alex .


    “Please Etherea would you be so kind?” asked Helena .


    There was a moment of silence while Etherea thought over the situation .


    “Very well , I’ll deduct the difference from your account and make it my early gift for the birth of your children .


    But don’t expect this to happen again” said Ethera.


    I’ll send all of the schematics and related technology to Da’grass and your colony’s AI .


    If you would be so kind to log off , I’ve got some work to do !


    “Thank you Etherea” said Alex .


    “yeah , thank you!” said Helena .


    The moment they logged out , they got a message from a panicking Cathy that their program for the amusement park world had disappeared from their mainframe .


    Alex had to reassure her and explain what had happened .


    To his surprise , when he had explained everything , she was on cloud nine and happy as could be .


    She said this rarely happened and was considered an honor among the residents in the Nexus .


    Helena just smiled . She would get the city she wanted , and Alex would get his power source - it just had to be built .


    “I guess you want to change your plans for the new colonies?” asked Dagrass.


    “Yeah , can you make the hub the main city?” responded Alex .


    “I’ll need some more room since the main city is bigger , but it can be done” replied Da’grass .


    Do you want me to build it in a way that it can be connected to more cities in the future?


    “Just to make sure , I would do so” said Helena .


    “You heard her , Da’grass . Just to make sure , anticipate it” said Alex .


    “The main structure is defined , but is there anything I should take into consideration?” asked Da’grass .


    “Give the new colonies a specialization that is needed , such as agriculture , sea culture and science/engineering” replied Alex .


    As for the main city , make it balanced with what we’ve learned here for now .


    Alex , you should know that the new city comes with large shipyards but no plans for spaceships , and the city is more advanced than what we had .


    Would you like to integrate the new technology in the new colonies ?


    It’s easier to do this from the start , and they would be more efficient .


    “I didn’t think of that . Is it possible to upgrade the existing colony as well?” Asked Alex .


    “For a part , but I wouldn’t recommend an overall overhaul for the moment since we are dependent of these systems for our survival here” replied Da’grass.


    We could start with our industries , line by line , for optimization and easier construction of the new colonies and main city .


    “Wel , you know best . Integrate the technology and make a plan that’s most suitable . I trust you Da’grass” answered Alex .


    Keep me in the loop , and if there are decisions to be made concerning the colonies and main city , just ask me .


    Helena , who was listening to the conversation , was overjoyed .


    Everything was coming together and they were smack in the middle of it .


    She was proud of Alex and she would make sure he knew it.
