Apparently, she began thinking about Skr and how she mocked him earlier. She was also starting to
have shbacks of their childhood. It turned out that Skr never stopped being nice
to her.
So, waves of intense pent up emotions washed over her as Brian’s family’s insults had caused her to
dissolve into a puddle of tears.
“Where’s Skr, dad? I really want to thank him.” Naomi sobbed.
“He told me that he had work to do. Let me call him for you.”
Nathaniel called Skr after that.
After epting her father’s phone, Naomi said, “I’m so sorry, Skr.”
She wanted to thank him initially, but everything ended up being an apology instead.
Skr was stunned when he heard that, so he asked, “Are you crying, Naomi? What’s going on?`
Were you bullied by Brian’s family? Just tell me and I’ll help you take care of everything.”
However, hearing this only made her sob harder.
It turned out that Skr would always jump to her defense regardless of the situation Naomi was in
when they were younger. He did that even though he was not sure if he could beat his opponents in a
fight.
So much had changed in thest six years, but it seemed that Skr never stopped defending her.
“Oh Skr, it turns out that you loved me the most, but I was a fool. I can’t believe that I was mean to
you. I’m so sorry Skr.”
Naomi apologized while she waspletely covered in tears.
Skrughed when he heard that, so he said, “Oh, you silly girl. Come on now, there’s no need to
apologize to me, I’m your brother, aren’t I? So, how could I really stay mad at you?”
“It’s almost time for one of our family members to give their speech now. Could you join dad for that?”
Naomi asked nervously.
After pondering for a brief moment, Skr agreed.
However, before Naomi could get too happy about it after the call ended, Mandy questioned her, “What
do you think you’re doing? We’re in the middle of a wedding, so how could you tell us to wait for your
brother? Are you going to be held responsible for disrupting the wedding?”
“This is my wedding, so why can’t I decide on what to do?” Naomi snapped back at her.
Mandy’s expression dimmed as she said, “You should really know your ce here. It’s you who wanted
to marry into our family, so we’d obviously have the final say on the wedding. It’s all because of how
stubborn you are that caused our family’s bad luck!”
Naomi remained silent for a brief moment before taking a deep breath and saying, “If you don’t want
me to wait for Skr, then you can cancel today’s wedding.”

Brian panicked, so he told Mandy, “Let’s just do what Naomi wants. We’ll wait.”
However, Mandy would never back down to a penniless peasant, so she scoffed, “Cancel the wedding?
Great then! We still have a whole bunch of options to pick from without you! How dare a peasant like
you tell me what to do?”
Even if Skr had given Naomi such an expensive ne, she had decided that he was just
pretending to be rich. If no one was present, she would definitely have relented. However, she knew
that there were a lot of important people present, so this meant good fortune to her family. Therefore,
she could not care less about who Skr really was.
“Who were you calling a peasant?”
Suddenly, a cold voice could be heard saying that from the outside.
So, everyone turned toward the voice.
All they could see was a well-dressed young man walking into the hall.
That man was none other than Skr.
“Who are you?” Mandy asked with a frown.
However, Skr ignored her question and said, “Do you think that my sister is a peasant and isn’t
worthy to be married into your family? Do you think that my parents areplete nobodies and have
no right to be seated at the VIP table? Do you really think that my entire family are
peasants?”
Skr kept bombarding her with questions while approaching her. He sounded very furious.
However, the odd thing was just how heavy his footsteps sounded to everyone when he walked

He raised his brows and sized Mandy up before asking her, “So tell me, who do you think I am?”
