    Chapter 24 God of War


    Skr took a closer look at Brian and thought of why Brian treated him differently from before.


    Looking at everyone’s shocked expression, he nodded and said, “Mom, dad, I still have something to


    do here, so I decided to drop by.”


    “I’m d to see everyone’s still doing well. Carry on with your meals, Uncle and Aunts. I’m heading


    back now.”


    “You’re leaving now? How can this be? You haven’t been home for six years and you’re leaving? At


    least stay for the night!” Nathaniel quickly took Skr’s hand and said.


    Skr took the opportunity to hug him. Then said, “Dad, I’ll be staying here for a long time for this


    mission.”


    “Alright. I know your task is important but it will be Naomi’s wedding in two days. Will you be able to


    attend the wedding ceremony?” Nathaniel asked.


    “Naomi’s my sister, of course, I’ll make time to attend the wedding!” Skr looked at Naomi and smiled.


    For some reason, Naomi sat at the table nkly without any response.


    “Oh, alright, Naomi, don’t be in the way of Skr’s duties!” Winona answered quickly to avoid the

    “Okay, I’ll take him downstairs.” Nathaniel happily dragged Skr away.


    After they left, everyone turned their attention toward Brian who was sitting in the main seat.


    “Mr. Stephenson, you seem to be afraid of Skr. Wasn’t he just a soldier? I’ve never heard of him


    doing something great.”


    “Does he have a secret identity?”


    “I don’t think so. He joined the army before he finished high school. He’s only 25 this year. How could


    he have aplished that much?”


    Brian shook his head nkly. “I don’t know either…”


    “How could you not know?”


    Naomi was a little surprised.


    Brian kept shaking his head no matter what kind of questions they asked about Skr.


    Thinking about the scene that happened at the entrance of the mall, it was where Brian first met Skr.


    Brian was hostile toward Skr. But Skr told her to leave them alone and said something to Brian.

    “Really? Rufus must have lied to me. That’s not right… His son is serving in the Northwest, and he’s


    alsoing back this year…”


    Nathaniel was puzzled.


    “That’s just a legend, and you took them seriously?” Skrughed.
