    Chapter 6


    The news felt like a huge rumble to her as her face turned pale and felt as if all her strength was


    drained from her body.


    She did not expect that decision would cause a chain reaction of horrible consequences.


    “My father had a heart attack and we need to rush over to Goodwill Hospital right now!”


    Yulia rushed over to the door with L in her arms.


    “Give me the keys. I’ll drive!” SKr said.


    As they made their way over to the hospital, he called Dianne and told her, “I need you to bring my


    medical kit over to Goodwill Hospital.”


    Although getting a heart attack wasmon, a recurring heart attack would put the patient at


    incredible risk. So, Skr decided that he would step in and help the patient just in case.


    Indeed, aside from being an excellent military strategist, he was an incredibly skilled healer too.

    “Didn’t you say that you’d stop healing when you left the Northern borders, boss?”


    Dianne’s eyes glimmered when she heard the order. She wondered just who exactly was important


    enough to have Skr break his vow.


    “My father-inw had a heart attack,” Skr replied and continued, “I want Yvonne and her father to be


    our servers during the retirement ceremony.”


    “Yes sir!” Dianne replied.


    Skr hung up the call after that.


    Suddenly, L asked, “Hey daddy, who is your father-inw?”


    Skr patiently replied, “Your grandpa is. Grandpa had a heart attack, so I need to save him.”


    “Whoa, you’re awesome, daddy! I can’t believe that you’re able to save grandpa!” The little girl


    cheered.


    However, Yulia let out a long winded sigh and looked very disappointed.


    It just makes me wonder just why someone as handsome and as capable as Skr would even like to


    boast this much. I’m not going to even mention whether or not he knows medicine, but I’m pretty sure


    he’s not even qualified enough to attend the ceremony. Have Yvonne and her dad serve others? Gosh,


    on what basis though? What is wrong with him!


    Soon, the entire family of three arrived at Goodwill Hospital.


    However, Yulia was immediately started by what she saw when she arrived at the chancellor’s office.


    It turned out that her stepmother was pleading with Nichs while Charles and Madam Sue were just


    watching the entire scene y out.


    However, Yvonne could be seen grinning at them.


    Upon seeing that, Skr frowned and asked, “What is Nichs doing here?”


    So, Yulia approached Betty and asked, “Why are you even begging him, Betty?”


    However, without warning, Betty shoved Yulia to Nichs as she said, “Nichs owns this hospital and


    with your father’s condition, he won’t be able to make it in time for a transfer. Hurry up and beg


    Nichs, so he’ll assign a specialist to help save your father!”


    “Nichs, do you have a hand in interfering with getting my father the treatment he needs?” Yulia


    asked.


    However, Nichs touched his bandaged head and scoffed as he said, “I’m going to be really honest


    with you. My uncle is a cardio specialist and he isn’t at work right now, so why should I have him


    operate on your dad? I don’t care how serious his condition is, he’ll have to wait till tomorrow!”


    “Is there really no one else on duty?” Yulia asked.


    “I’m really sorry, but even if there is, they dare not ept such a serious case anyway.” Nichs


    scoffed.


    It turned out that Nichs rushed to the hospital immediately after he was beaten by Skr. However,


    Yvone told him that Yulia had angered Lincoln so much that it triggered his heart attack. That was why


    Lincoln was brought to the hospital then.


    Since he was the chancellor’s nephew, every doctor in the entire hospital knew who he was. So, he


    obviously wanted to use this opportunity to get back at Yulia then.


    Yulia was in a panicked frenzy. She had decided to let go of her pride in order to save her father, so


    she pleaded, “Please Nichs, it’s his life here we’re talking about. Look, could you please put our


    differences aside for a moment and call the chancellor so he can save my father?”


    However, Nichs replied with a smug look, “So, now you know how to beg me? Isn’t your unruly man


    here as well? Since he’s that awesome of a man, why don’t you have him help you then!”


    It was only then did Betty realize that Skr had tagged along, so she yelled, “Are you nning to kill


    your father, Yulia? How dare you bring that penniless bastard here! How blind must you be to be


    attracted to him? Don’t you know that not only is hepletely penniless, he was obsessed with


    Yvonne for five years! I want you to leave, Skr! Yulia and I won’t ever allow you to get married into


    our family! Don’t worry, Nichs. You’re the only son-inw we want. Yulia was just being a fool for


    what happened today. Don’t worry, I will teach her a very good lesson after her father wakes up.”


    Nichs was somewhat delighted to hear that, so he said, “All right then. I’ll call my uncle toe over


    just for you, Ms. Betty. However, I want Yulia to leave with me tonight.”


    “You…”


    Yulia was shocked and furious to hear that. She did not expect Nichs to make such a request in


    front of so many people.


    Suddenly, Yvonne burst outughing as she said, “Oh please, Yulia. You already have a child, so why


    are you still pretending to be all pure and innocent now. I mean, you’re willing to sleep with some


    random man five years ago. Can’t you sacrifice a little to save your father today?”


    Yvonne’sment hurt Yulia a lot.


    Suddenly, Skr gave Yvonne a tight p across her face, causing her to cough out blood.


    “I told you that Yulia belongs to me now and no one has the right to hurt her anymore. Well, since you


    clearly didn’t remember what I said earlier in the day, I’ll remind you again.”


    As soon as he said that, he pped Nichs across his face again.


    “Oh, and you. You have a death wish to insult my woman!”


    Skr’s statement felt like a thunderous roar. This shocked Betty so much that she felt dizzy.


    Damn that useless bastard. I’ve spent so much effort begging him and just when he’s finally willing to


    help, he pped him! Oh gosh, we’re doomed! My good days wille to an end if Lincoln dies.


    Madam Sue was so livid that she was tempted to beat Skr to death with her walking stick.


    Yulia was startled by his sudden act as she stumbled a couple steps backward. After that, she gave


    Skr an anguished look.

    However, Skr replied, “I told you, no one is allowed to bully my woman!”
