Chapter 89 - 7 Years of Dedication

    Chapter 89 - 7 Years of Dedication

Patrick Winter clenched his fists, his knuckles whitening as he fought to keep his anger in check. He

didn''t want to appear arrogant in front of the assembled crowd, especially since the event was being

broadcast live on a national TV station.

Later that night, Patrick nned to give Arthur a taste of his own medicine and make him look foolish in

front of the audience. After all, he had more money than Arthur Gardner could ever dream of - there

    was noparison.

A few minutester, all the cameras werepletely set up, and the host of the event, Max, stepped

up onto the stage and greeted with thunderous apuse from the entire audience.

"Good evening, everyone!" Max shouted enthusiastically, eliciting an instant excitement from the crowd.

"I''m your host for the night, Max," Max began, a note of excitement evident in his voice.

"It''s an honor for us to have you all here tonight. Tonight we have a special show for our young

entrepreneurs, who will be presenting their business ideas to our esteemed panel of judges and

potential investors. I''m sure we are all just as eager as I am to see what these bright minds have to

offer! So without further ado, let''s get started! Go ahead, show us what you''ve got!"

Max then joined in the apuse, generating an even more lively atmosphere in the studio. When the

apuse died down, he returned to the mic with enthusiasm still evident. "Alright, our first participant is

a young man who is very passionate about the IT field."

    "Whoooo....."

Amidst the audience, a hoot sounded out, followed by Max''sughter.

"What?! Why are you responding that way?" he asked. "You never know, we might have another Elon

Musk in our midst tonight. Let''s give a warm wee to Fan Tian!"

A young man in his twenties, wearing a blue shirt and sporting a geeky look, stepped onto the stage.

Instantly, a collective "huuu" sound came from the audience.

"Tch, another Asian guy," some of them muttered.

"Yes, why are there so many Asians trying to make a buck off our country? I hate them," one person

    said.

"Yep, they should be kicked out of this event right away," another chimed in.

"Or even out of this country," a third person added.

Fan Tian nervously stood in the middle of the stage, bowing his head in respect to the judges. "Good

evening, honorable judges," he said, his voice trembling slightly.

Patrick was the first to speak. "Do you have any business ideas, Asian guy?" he asked.

Cash then interjected with augh. “Do you want to open a pirated goods business?” he joked.

“Hahahaha, just kidding. I''m sure you have a very sophisticated idea behind that geeky face of yours.”

"Ahh…," Patrick chirped again. "That''s right, he looks like a kid—his body is quite small. How old are

    you, kid?"

"24, Mr. Winter," Fan Tian responded, his voice quivering.

"Ah… 24… But you look like a toddler to me. Why are you so nervous? Did your mothere with you

    tonight? Hahahahaha…," Patrick chuckled.

Patrick pped his hands lightly, greeted byughter from the studio audience.

"Why don''t we hear his presentation first?" Cash suggested, chuckling. "Who knows, he might have an

idea that will make him the richest person in the world!"

Fan Tian nodded slowly, his gaze drawn to therge screen behind him, which had suddenly disyed

the video he had prepared for his presentation. He began to exin his innovation, abination of

Drone and AI technology, which could be utilized as a medium for shipping goods using drones.

“The AI technology I''ve developed enables the drones to auto-pilot,” he dered.

“Wait, how much money do you need to invest in this idea?” Patrick then interrupted Fan Tian''s

    presentation.

“Umm…” Fan Tian said hesitantly. “Ten billion dors, sir.”

Just then, a loud ringing noise filled the room, and Cash quickly pressed the red button, letting them

know he had absolutely no interest in Fan Tian''s business proposal.

"Alright, alright, enough, Asian guy," Cash Todd said firmly, turning his face away as he spoke. "This is

the most stupid idea I have ever heard in my life. You''re proposing a business with a veryrge

investment, but what is AI? I''m not sure something like this would work well. And the benefits you''re

offering here are so unattractive. I''m out, I''m out - this is stupid."

"Ah, wait, let me continue my presentation..."

Fan Tian implored, his face reflecting the effort he had put into the past seven years of research and

development of his Artificial Intelligence. He was eager to find someone who would support his idea

and the potential wealth it would bring.

"He is stupid," one of the audience said with a chuckle, "he spent seven years creating something that

is ultimately useless. Don''t you think AI has advanced a lottely? What was so special about the AI he

created? I don''t understand things like this, but if Mr. Todd, who is an expert in the field, tly rejected

the idea, then I''m sure it''spletely useless."

"Good," the other continued with a hint of malice in their voice, "I don''t like seeing Asian guys at this

event. I hope after this he kills himself because all his hard work has been for nothing."

The ringing of the bell echoed from Patrick Winter''s direction, and with it came a direct rejection of Fan

    Tian''s suggestion.

"That''s a ridiculous idea and you''re asking for ten billion dors? You must be dreaming! Next time,

think more carefully before bringing your ideas to people. Do you honestly expect anyone to pay that

kind of money for something with no future potential? Now get out of here," he said firmly.

A ripple ofughter echoed through the studio as the audience reacted to the ridiculousness of the first

person to show up at the grand asion.

Fan Tian let out a deep breath, his heart pounding with anxiety as he shook with nervousness. He

knew that this was his one chance to make it, and if he failed, he wouldn''t be able to enter the next

    season.

"Let me continue my presentation, sir?" Fan Tian asked expectantly, ncing at Arthur, the lone judge

who had yet to give a response or reject his idea.

"No," Arthur answered calmly and firmly. "You don''t need to continue your presentation."

However, Arthur''s response dashed Fan Tian''sst hope, and he feltpletely disheartened. Not only

had he spent an immense amount of time and effort on his research, but he had also spent all of his

resources, leaving him with no means of survival.

"My life is over," Fan Tian muttered despairingly.
