Chapter 57 - Taking the Boss Hostage


    Este lunged forward, throwing a flurry of punches at Arthur. But, Arthur dodged and parried each of


    her strikes with lightning-fast reflexes, almost as if he were savoring the fight, searching for something


    more than physical dominance. His movements were precise and calcted, as if he were trying to


    unearth something deeper, toprehend Este and her rtionship with the criminal underworld.


    "Why are you dodging me?" Este''s irritation was clear in her tone, and she jumped back into a


    defensive stance. "I won''t tolerate any games. If you don''t fight me seriously, I promise I won''t show


    you any mercy, and make you pay for daring to disrespect me."


    Arthur''s response was simply a faint smile as he said, "It''s true, the underworld can be quite


    intimidating. I was so scared when one of the higher-ups came up to me."


    Arthur deliberately provoked Este''s anger in order to gain more information from her. “Is Aston also


    your friend?” he inquired. “Why didn''t hee to me himself if he was the one holding a grudge


    against me?”


    "Aston is one of the five leaders in the underworld," Este proimed, "but his level is far inferior to


    mine. I could easily annihte him and his entire army if I so choose. As well as you, like I did this


    time."


    She had only intended to test Arthur''sbat prowess; however, it seemed he was merely attempting


    to extract information from her and was not taking their skirmish seriously. Este felt she had to be


    more serious in dealing with him. She couldn''t let him go and became even more powerful.


    "Are you interested in joining the underworld, Mr. Glitzy?" Este inquired.

    "Not really." Arthur replied calmly, "My goal is to live a peaceful, fulfilling life - and if that means I have


    to confront you and the other four leaders of the underworld, then I''m willing to face that challenge."


    He was aware of the five people who ran the underworld and knew that Este and Aston were among


    them. He was aware that he had provoked them and expected some retribution for his actions. Despite


    that, he kept hisposure, hoping that he would be able to discover their true strength and prepare


    himself for any potential conflict.


    "Should we help our boss?"


    Este''s men seemed to be getting restless, their anger piling high, as they watched their boss not


    immediately beat Arthur.


    "Are you crazy? Do you really think our boss, who is very good at fighting, will lose to that stupid guy?


    Look at her, she''s just ying with her prey!"


    "Our boss is very strong, she won''t be easily defeated," one of them reassured.


    They were all fully prepared to attack simultaneously if anything happened to Este. And they seemed


    impatient to beat Arthur.


    "I won''t let anyone who insults The Kraken breathe easy!" one of them eximed angrily.


    Arthur felt he had enough information from Este and wanted to end their fight immediately.


    "You seem to be getting serious, Mr. Glitzy?" Este said sharply, her temper ring.


    "I think so," he answered calmly.


    At that moment, Este quickly lunged toward Arthur and began throwing her fists rapidly. However,


    Arthur was able to catch both of her hands swiftly.


    "What are you doing? Let me go!" she shouted angrily.


    Smiling faintly, Arthur threw Este''s body away and delivered a sharp punch to her stomach, sending


    her crashing to the floor. He then pressed down on her back with his knee and held her hands behind


    her back.


    Witnessing the fate of Este, all of her men quickly readied themselves to attack and moved nearer to


    Arthur.


    "If youe any closer, I won''t guarantee your boss''s safety!" Arthur bellowed.


    "Is this what you had nned? You''re so cowardly that you''d take our boss hostage?" Brave, who was


    close to Arthur, also appeared enraged and attempted to get nearer andunch an attack.


    Alicia then swiftly stepped in front of Arthur and stood before Brave.


    "I don''t advise going any further than this!" She snarled. "I won''t hesitate to fight you all, and your boss


    is in our hands. I''m sure you don''t want anything to happen to her, do you?"


    Este was held captive by Arthur, tightly secured in his firm grip. He forced her to stand up and stood


    directly behind her, his right hand gripping her neck and his left hand locking her arms in ce,


    preventing her from moving or fighting back.


    "Are you locking me up just so you can touch me, Mr. Glitzy?" she said, her voice tinged with


    provocation.


    "Are you satisfied now? Are you nning to take this further? Do you want to touch me so badly that


    you would do this to me? I thought you were a gentleman, but you''ve made me a prisoner. Do you think


    you can get away with this?"


    "You''re really over-thinking this, Este," Arthur responded, disregarding her provocation.


    The video that was shown live by Alincia was abruptly cut off, leaving some viewers questioning what


    would happen next in the fight between Mr. Glitzy and Este.


    "This man is really foolish," one person eximed. "Why does this live streaming have to stop just


    when the scene gets to the most exciting part?"


    "Does anyone know where it happened? We''d better go and record it for ourselves," suggested


    another.


    "Hey you guys, look at the videos on this channel. There are people showing simr incidents from a


    different angle," said a third.


    "Is it true!?"


    "Yeah, it''s true! Let''s go watch it now!" another one proimed.


    Brave and his entire army surrounded Arthur from every side, armed with their golf clubs and ready to


    teach him a lesson. They were cautious, though, as they did not want anything to happen to their boss.


    "Let him go!" Brave shouted, taking a step closer. "If you don''t listen to us, I won''t hesitate to beat you


    up!"


    Arthur kept his grip on Este so tight that it seemed to paralyze her.


    "What do you n to do now, Mr. Glitzy?" She asked in a quiet voice.


    Alicia, her face now ashen, turned to Arthur. She was seized with fear for the first time, not for herself


    but for Arthur, for her mistakes.


    "Oppa," she whispered softly, swallowing hard. "What should we do? Should I give myself up? But it


    seems they''re only after you."


    Unexpectedly, Arthur smiled at Alicia, providing her with a glimmer of hope.


    "Don''t worry, Alicia," he reassured her. "I won''t let them hurt you. We''ll get out of here together, safe


    and sound."


    Alicia''s heart warmed at the idea, even though she still didn''t think it was possible. She wondered to


    herself, "Does he have a n? What is he nning?"
