Hanukka was Josie’s 6th birthday. It was also her first birthday after her right leg had fully
recovered. The family decided to hold a birthday party for her and invited her friends from
kindergarten.
Josie had been very excited since morning. She ran around and helped everyone out.
Athena told Josie, “I’m going to the film set to see Zayn work. I promise to be back on time for your
party in the afternoon.”
“The film set?” Josie’s eyes lit up. She hugged Athena’s arm and said, “I want to go too. I want to
see Zayn and Luna act.”
Athena took Josie’s hand. “Alright, let’s go together.”
The filming for “Lockwood’s Detective Diary” began in early October. As the series wasn’t long with
only twenty–one episodes, the filming was expected to bepleted before Christmas. Being the
author and screenwriter, Athena would often visit the set to ensure that the filming did not deviate
from the theme and style of her work.
Today’s scene would take ce at school. School scenes were mostly filmed at the West End
College. The West End College was located in the developing suburbs and on the east side of
Airport Avenue. It was quieter than the city and had a beautifulndscape.
Perhaps because it was Hanukka, many people were rushing to the airport, causing the intersection
on Airport Avenue to be a little congested. It wasn’t 10 a.m. yet, so Athena wasn’t in a hurry. She
patiently stopped her car and waited.
Joy, who was driving to the airport, was also stuck at this intersection. As she ate her hamburger,
she looked around aimlessly. That was when she noticed Athena’s SUV.
Although Athena’s SUV didn’t look anything out of the ordinary, she recognized it at a nce. It was
Miracle, produced by the Graham Group. She was able to recognize it because her family had more
than ten SUVs like that and she was very familiar with them. Just by looking at what kind of car
Athena was driving, Joy knew she wasn’t someone ordinary.
After the light turned green, Athena slowly drove forward. Joy drove behind Athena and was more
than 300 feet away. After driving past the intersection, she saw Athena’s car turning right and
heading into West End College. Joy felt a little curious and wondered what Athena was doing there
in the morning when it was so cold out.
Joy took out her phone and searched online. That was when she saw some inconspicuous
messages in a corner.
Onement said: [The filming of “Lockwood’s Detective Diary starring Luna Carter and Zayn
Donovan has started at our school. I saw Luna in person today and she is beautiful. I can’t tell she’s
turning thirty soon. I heard she’s a few years older than Zayn, but one can never tell when they
stand side by side.]
Another remarked: [Zayn is also very handsome. He looks very manly, strong, and righteous. If he
were to act as the viin, people would definitely think he’s an undercover for the police.]
A thirdizen added: [We are the extras and we make 20 dors a day. The acting is not difficult
We just have to sign a confidentiality agreement and not reveal anything.]
A fourth personmented: [The film crew eats at the canteen. They’re quite simple and not as
picky as some people might think. Luna speaks very gently and is very down–to–earth.]
Someone also said: [Zayn doesn’t talk much, but is very polite. He always nods when someone
greets him.]

Joy thought to herself, ‘So Luna is filming here. I must go and take a look. I want to see if I’m not as
good as Luna, or if Athena has bad taste.
Joy could always get her hands on anything she wanted. When she failed to be cast as Lockwood, it
was a small setback for
her. She was more or less unhappy with that.

Soon, Joy parked her car at the school gate and walked toward the entrance.
The security guard looked at her. “You’re not a student at our school, are you? You can’te in.”
Joy wasn’t angry at being refused. She simply took out her Kitmore University student ID. “I’m a
student of Kitmore University. I have a high school friend majoring in early education here. It’s the
weekend, and I’m here to meet her.”
If it were a student from a school other than Kitmore University, the security guard would surely
reject the request or ask her friend from West End College toe pick her up. However, Kitmore
University was a top university, and its students were still able to enjoy certain privileges outside.
In addition, Joy had an exquisite appearance and polite demeanor. The security guard didn’t make
things difficult for her. “You can go in, but there’s a shoot going on at the college. You aren’t allowed
to cause disturbance or take photos.”
“Alright,” Joy smiled, “I’ll take note of that and won’t break the rules.”
The campus was huge. There were many fields and open spaces. There was almost no one
strolling around the campus. Regardless, she easily spotted the crew as there were many people
gathered around making all sorts of noises. It didn’t take a genius to figure out that something was
going on around there.
Joy put on her mask and walked over quickly.
The crew was filming Lockwood searching for physical evidence in a Dumpster. Lockwood had her
hair in a simple bun She was wearing a beige sweater, jeans, and white shoes, and had stic
gloves on. She was removing trash from the trash bin and cing them neatly on the ground.
The dumpster stank. Students who were watching the shoot from 70 feet away covered their noses
and looked like they were going to throw up.
However, Lockwood was very focused before the camera. There was no trace of disgust on her
face. She was even seen twitching her nose from time to time to distinguish the smell of different
items retrieved from the dumpster.
The director and Athena, who were sitting behind the camera, nodded in approval. Many big–time
actors could not y ordinary people who wore cheap clothes and ate fast food and takeout after
being used to a luxurious life, let alone be in character for such a dirty and smelly scene. Even if
they did y this role, their eyes, facial expressions, and physical reactions would all show their
disgust.
However, Luna was very professional in her act. After rummaging through most of the contents of
the trash bin and couldn’t find what she wanted, she tilted the dumpster over and stuck her head
into the 3–foot–deep container to scrape the trash at the bottom.
Students standing around made ufortable retching sounds.
“Got it!” Lockwood picked up a sock from the bottom of the bin and called out excitedly, “There must
be the murderer’s blood on it.”
Several supporting actors who were acting as students walked toward her. They frowned and
pinched their noses, shrieking in disgust, “Oh my god, you smell so bad! We’re going to meet our
idolter, and you’re still rummaging through trash here. We seriously have to hand it to you.”
Lockwood carefully ced the stinky sock into the evidence bag “You don’t understand. How is an
idol more important than evidence?”

There was no love story in this show. However, Lockwood still had a favorable impression of the
gentle and handsome senior who had helped her before. When she heard he had arrived, she
immediately looked up and pursed her lips. Her eyes were bright and her cheeks were slightly pink.
She appeared delightfully bashful when she looked at the popr guy, behaving exactly like a
youthful teen would be when she looked at her crush.
“Her gaze is perfect,” Athena praised, “Luna sure looks like a 19–year–old girl who has just fallen in
love. How the hell does she do that?”
