Chapter 18 Here We Meet Again!
Everyone around couldn''t help eximing while looking at her. No one could make the cheong-sam
look so pure but sexy at the same time except for her.
Then, both of them reached the Hilton Hotel.
As the car stopped, Lemuel got off first.
But Verena still kept herself in the car. She begged with her hands clinging to each other out of
nervousness, "Please! I don''t want to attend! Please let me go back home!"
Lemuel turned around and said domineeringly, "Do you think you have a choice? Well, here are two
options for you! First, we can get off the car yourself. Second, let me get you off!"
Verena finally got off the car, looking reluctant.
Suddenly, Lemuel bent over to wrap around her neck and then his hand fell onto her back.
He seemed to hug her in his arms.
She could smell the mixed scent of tobo from him, which made her feel like being shocked by a bolt
of lightning. Her mind suddenly went nk.
As she collected herself, her heart was still beating rapidly. She then tried to push him away with a
blushed face, "Get off me! Don''t get so close to me!"
Lemuel huffed, "Don''t move!"
"I won''t move when you get off me!" Verena still struggled to push him. He was so close to her that she
couldn''t even breathe.
Lemuel remained silent and ignored her. He still hugged her while ruffling her hair with his slender
fingers. Then he tied up her hairs into a pony tail with a color strap. Only a few strands of hairs hung
down on both sides of her cheek.
Verena was stunned with her eyes wide opened when seeing his sudden move. She fixed her eyes
nkly on his handsome but cold-looking profile. She seemed to be touched in her heart.
Lemuel looked at his own ''masterpiece'' satisfyingly. Then he smiled and stretched out his right arm
before her.
Verena held his arm to enter the hotel with him.
There were all kinds of people walking around in the splendid hotel. They were all talking to each other,
looking refined and elegant.
As soon as Lemuel entered the venue, he was surrounded in the middle of the crowd. Soon, all kinds
of fawning words sounded.
"Mr. Lemuel, you are so appealing today! No wonder everydy deems you their prince charming!"

Verena was getting annoyed when hearing those fawning words keep sounding. She just wanted to
rush out of the hotel.
But Lemuel still looked indifferent as usual. After greeting all of them politely, he took Verena to walk
around the hall.
Everyone who came to talk to him was one of those prestigious figures. Verena could only follow on his
side, looking passive with an awkward smile. Her ankle still ached while walking.
"Make your smile natural!" Lemuel nced at her.
He still smiled to greet those who talked to him. Verena tried to force out her words to answer, "I am
doing my best to maintain the most natural smile I have ever had in my life!"
"That''s the most natural smile in your life, really?" Lemuel looked at her.
Verena got so mad that her face went blushed again. She red at him, "It''s none of my business to
attend the banquet! My ankle hurt! I am afraid I can''t stay with you!"
After saying that, she walked to the lounge beside.
''I don''t even want toe here! It''s you who forced me! How dare youin me!''
He squinted at her and smiled. Then he walked to the VIP Room.

Meanwhile, Louis had seen Verena already. He took a ss of wine to walk over, looking thrilled.
''I gotta get you on my bed tonight!''
"Gorgeousdy, here we meet again!" he smiled and sat opposite her.
When seeing him, Verena looked a bit stunned. But she soon remained calmed again. Then she
greeted politely, "Nice to meet you here, Mr. Louis."
"It''s not working hour now. Don''t be so restrained! May I have your name?"
While speaking, he looked at her from head to toe. Then he fixed his eyes on her fair legs.
Verena casually hid her legs behind the sofa to avoid his gaze. Then she smiled, "My name is Verena
Moore."
"Verena Moore? What a nice name…" Louis murmured. Then he raised the ss of wine, "Miss Moore,
cheers!"
"Sorry, I don''t drink!" Verena smiled to refuse.
"Wine tastes nice and mellow. Why do you refuse such a nice thing? Come on, cheers!"
Before she could refuse again, Louis hurried to hand her a ss of wine. Then his hand happened to
touch hers again.
She frowned and hurried to move her hand away. Then she put the ss aside and said apologetically,
"Sorry. I need to go to the restroom."
After saying that, she hurried to flee before Louis could react.
However, she herself didn''t even notice that Louis also disappeared from the venue just after she left.
As she walked out of the restroom, she didn''t go back to the hall. Instead, she went to the garden of the
hotel.
Though it was night time, the garden still looked beautiful.
The green ivy, the flowers dancing under the night breeze and the glitteringke all joined together to
create a peaceful picture.
She sat down beside a swimming pool and sighed. Finally, she felt rxed here.

"Miss Moore, you said that you would go to the restroom. Don''t you think that''s an invitation? Of course
I could get it! Come on, let''s have a wonderful night together!"
