Ji Liu opened the door and the Purple Tailed Swift immediately shot towards the open door. Lightning element follows the monster as it hit the man in his stomach. This is the skill [Lightning Trail], where the element would follow the monster till it halts or collide with an object or target, it doubles the force of the attack and imbues it with the element.
The man knocking on the door was surprised, he didn''t have the time to react when he is stunned by the lightning attack. Ji Liu followed the attack by grabbing the guy on his collar and throwing him inside the room.
"Please stop making a scene Wang Zi, just imagine what would Mr. Wei do when people complain?" Ji Liu complains to the man in spectacles.
"It''s not like there''s anyone else besides us during the weekend in the dorm. Everyone else would have gone home for the weekend." Wang Zi rebutted while making himself comfortable by sitting on the only chair in front of a study table.
"So, have you already decided where we''ll be exploring tomorrow? I heard there''s a good amount of poison types in the southern forest just before the beach." Ji Liu asks while busily taking a look at the Purple Tailed Swift, Wang Zi already experienced getting hit by the swift twice this week when he kept bothering Ji Liu.
"Nope! We''re going to the sewer!" Wang Zi declared. He just recently ''awakened'' and had a poison type as the only type he can make a contract with; and since he is even poorer than Ji Liu, the only way for him to get his first contract monster is to tame a wild one.

After contracting two monsters, which is his maximum, Wang Zi was elated since it wasn''t even noon but he already got a Pale Tounged Cottontail and a Green Flying Nope. Ji Liu, on the other hand, got a Meek-Eyed Mouse, Orange Spotted Eleuth, and a Smogged Anole.
Ji Liu let Wang Zi head home first while he stayed behind still in the sewers as he was planning on checking if fusing his new monsters would be fast, and if so, He could catch some more while waiting the on the fusing duration. So he took a look at two of his monsters, but what was displayed was very different to what he expects.

He tried different methods of showing the status of the two; swift first then turtle, turtle then swift and, even both simultaneously but the result is the same. The order of showing the status doesn''t affect the result, the result didn''t change.
"Hey system voices, where are you?" Ji Liu lost it and shouted out loud but no response was given no matter what.
''Tsk, what happened? A malfunction? But then why would the window still appear? Maybe the fusing feature? Hmm, let''s try if it works.'' Ji Liu tries to figure out the problem so he began fusing the Stealth Bone Rat to try it out.
After 15 minutes, he already contracted another monster, another Meek-Eyed Mouse, but the fusing result went smoothly, so the system functions as normal. He then tried fusing the Smogged Anole he caught previously to the newly caught Meek-Eyed Mouse.

Since it''s going to be a long wait, after catching a Black Snail, Ji Liu leaves the sewer to head back home to take a shower, eat lunch and study.
Along the way home, however, just as he was passing by a store, he noticed his reflection and how he was carrying the Black Snail and White Turtle on each hand, the Purple Tailed Swift was perched on his head while the Stealth Bone Rat was following behind.
The Hazy Moon Shrew was hidden inside his bag because while monsters are still being fused, they turn into embryos created by the bodies of the two monsters used as materials. They look similar to an egg without a shell but a rapidly developing embryo instead of a yolk in the middle. Evolution process looks similar, but only use one body instead of two.

Days passed by and it is already Saturday, Ji Liu''s White Turtle already evolved into a 4th level Bronze Radiant Baby Carbonemys after feeding it the Metal-type core. Doctor Fei Hua did not miss it and insisted on evolving it in the lab so he can observe the process.
Ji Liu also fused his Hazy Moon Shrew with the Stealth Bone Rat, which just finished fusing today. And the result was quite pleasing
