Gossip about Gilmore began to spread in the room.

All the others were rendered appalled by the scene and suspected whether their ears had lied to

But why were they smiling at each other and shaking hands with each other?
Christine, too, was more than startled, wondering when Gilmore got acquainted with her cousin.
