CHAPTER 16
"What is the matter, Miss E?" Patty massaged her eyes immediately upon hearing E shout her
name. When Patty noticed her caressing her back while she continued to grimace in agony, she
decided Mugsy''s time hade to see the outside world. "Rx and take a deep breath," Patty
said. Danie''s room had an inte, and Patty promptly phoned Peter''s room and notified him to
prepare for the hospital visit.
Patty aided Danie in going down the stairs when everyone was up and waiting enthusiastically for
them. Patty could tell by their expressions that they were also looking forward to seeing Mugsy.
Danie desired to unwind, but the contractions persisted. It was too terrible to endure, but she
reminded herself that other women had survived childbirth with noplications. Everything would
be OK between her and Mugsy, she reasoned as she carefully approached the automobile.
If others could do it, then she could as well, and she should be strong for Mugsy! Danie climbed
into the car, her head held high, with a renewed sense of resolve and confidence. Patty broke a
fresh egg and instructed her to take it in one gulp while in the car. ording to legend, she
despised everything that was raw, but when she was in agony, she would try everything to alleviate
her, and Patty felt that the fresh egg may assist her in the birth.
Doctor Arbiol was prepared when they arrived at the hospital, and despite the excellent doctor''s
assurances that she would be well, she remained concerned and fearful. She wished Marcus had
been present during the procedure to hold her hand and murmur sweet nothings to ease the agony
of childbirth.

with the difort when the contractions became unbearable, and she began to question her
ability to survive. The anguish returned with a vengeance, and every muscle in her body stiffened.

fatigued and unable to concentrate at the time. Danie asked the doctor if she might sleep as she
awaited the baby''s natural birth, but the doctor answered no. She must remain awake to ensure that
progress is made, otherwise the child''s life will be jeopardized while still inside her.
When her water broke, she believed the ordeal was nearly over! However, she was forced to
endure another round of severe contractions before Doctor Arbiol pronounced that she was
completely dted and the baby had sunk to afortable position in her pelvis. Low enough that
pushing the kid out took only approximately five minutes!
Danie felt relieved and delight pour over her entire body when she heard Mugsy''s first scream.
The bliss of motherhood! The sensation was wonderful, and she was on the verge of tears as she
held her baby for the first time.
"Mugsy..." she murmured. Seeing her for the first time was the most beautiful feeling she had ever
had, and the ecstasy prated deep into her soul, taking her breath away.
"I''m delighted for you, E. You have a stunning daughter that is just like you." Doctor Arbiol
congratted the new mother, who broke down in tears. Her father would be overjoyed to see his
one and only daughter be a mother...if he were still alive and well. "What are your ns for
your child''s name, E?" She enquired.
"I am Ariana Jade," she said.
Danie was permitted to return home three dayster to breastfeed her daughter in the privacy of
her own house. As it was family tradition to baptize newborns before they reached the age of one
month, she was busy arranging for AJ''s first function.

baptize her child. As in, what the devil? Then she realized that not everyone was aware of her
annulment, and she was able to present the secretary with a certificate of marriage. She assumed it
had been arranged, but the wretched secretary insisted on a religious wedding.
"My spouse is still in Syria, Ma''am, but we are nning a Christian wedding for when he returns,"
she lied,pounding her faults, but she had no alternative!
Danie felt relieved when the woman trusted her fabrications. Once the baptism date was
determined, she desired to go dress shopping for AJ, but her body was still hurting. Finally, inte
buying proved to be really beneficial. She was finished in a matter of clicks and simply had to wait
for the delivery from Rainbow Tots. She entrusted the food services, d??cor, and photographer to
Thalia and concentrated on breastfeeding her kid.
Typically, Danie would take her kid outside for some fresh air in the afternoon. When a vehicle
parked outside the fence, AJ was in a stroller and they went around the yard. She wasn''t expecting
anyone, and she became apprehensive and eager as she assumed it was Marcus who had arrived.
"Ma!" Her eyes widened as she watched Paloma exit the car, followed by another woman...with a
kid in her arms. Danie opened the gate, smiled at the arrivals, and locked her gaze on the young
woman, and was taken aback when she recognized her. "Lilian?" She inquired, and the woman
responded with a nod. "It''s wonderful to see you!"
Lilian was taken aback when she was greeted by thedy she despises the most. While driving to
the city, she fantasized about the worst-case scenario for her first meeting with Danie. "I
appreciate it... I had no idea you were that sweet." As she stated.
"Little Lil, people change. Sorry, is it eptable to address you like that?" Danie apologized for
her familiarity with Lilian when they first met.
"Certainly, provided I may also refer to you as E." Lilian smiled and presented Danie to her
daughter. The second woman was taken aback when she learned she was pregnant.
"So you''ve recently given birth to Vanessa?" What a coincidence, as I am also expecting my AJ."
They were giddy with excitement about their new duty as mothers.
