    20 Questions


    Amelia POV


    The minute Lincoln says our pup is alright, I feel my body rx. I’m sore where Max kicked me in the


    back, but with our increased healing, the pain will be gone soon. I still can’t believe he would do such a


    thing to me. He seems so differentpared to Michael. He was like this cold, unfeeling man who


    didn’t even think twice about hurting me or my pup. Lincoln brings me out of my thoughts with a kiss on


    my forehead. He leaves to go get the doctor and Iy my hand on my bump. “You’re safe little bean.”


    “I’m proud of you Amelia, you protected our pup like the bada** you are.” I chuckle “I think I had a little


    help from my awesome and bada** wolf.” She puffs out her chest in my mind and it makes me smile.


    The door opens and Lincoln returns, followed by Dr. Neilson. “Luna, it’s good to see you awake.”


    “Thank you, I’m just d that we both are ok.” “I would like you to stay here overnight just so we can


    observe you for any changes”, Dr. Neilson says. “Is it really necessary for me to stay if our pup is good


    and I’m healing?” “You do have some bruising on your back and with the attack only happening a little


    while ago, I would feel better if you did.” “My wolf is already healing that and honestly I would rather


    sleep in our bed tonight” I say looking at Lincoln. Dr. Neilson looks torn. I’m sure he wants to tell me to


    stay despite my protests. “That’s fine Dr. Neilson, thank you”, Lincoln says before the doctor can say


    any more. He smiles at me and heads out of the room.


    “Lincoln, I feel fine, I’m just a little sore.” He growls low “I promise you he will suffer for putting his


    hands on you, for harming you.” I take his hand “I’m sorry that you have to deal with Max’s actions


    toward me.” “I hate this is happening for you and Michael.” He sits down next to my bed. “Honestly love


    I don’t think Max acted alone.” I look at him confused until I recall Max saying about the pack already


    having a Luna. “What is it Amelia?” “When Max was trying to make me leave, he said something about


    the pack already having a Luna and it wasn’t a wh*re that was carrying another man’s pup.” I see


    Lincoln’s eyes sh to ck before they return to his beautiful blue color. “I’m going to snap that b**ch’s


    neck.” “I knew she had something to do with this.” “He never said it was her but I thought the same


    thing when he called me a wh*re.” He growls low and I pull him into a kiss. When I try to deepen it, he


    pulls back,ying his forehead against mine.


    Lincoln POV


    I take a few deep breaths, kissing her is doing nothing for me to keep myself under control. Talon wants


    us to make her ours even more after everything that just happened, but I need to think about all she


    just went through. “Talon, she was just attacked we have to be patient.” He whimpers and recedes to


    the back of my mind. “Lincoln, I want you to mark me and for me to mark you.” “I don’t want us to wait.”


    “Love I want nothing more but you were just attacked by that ba**ard.” “I saw the bruises and I know


    you are healing but we need to at least wait till tomorrow.” “Lincoln, I couldn’t link you and I wanted to


    be able to when I was alone with him.” I slide into the bed next to her and pull her to my side. Sheys


    her head on my chest and besides the physical pain he caused her, he scared my mate. I run my


    fingers through her hair. “I promise you that I will not leave your side again until we have marked and


    mated.” She picks her head up and pecks my lips before sheys her head back down on my chest. I


    kiss the top of her head and I hear her breathing even out as she falls to sleep in my arms.


    I wake and I’m in the hospital bed alone. I start to panic until I hear the toilet flush in the bathroom. The


    door opens and my beautiful mate walks out. “Why didn’t you wake me, love?” “You were sleeping so


    peacefully and I promise I can pee all by myself.” I chuckle and I get up,ing to stand in front of her.


    “I know you can but I almost lost it when I woke up and you weren’t there.” “I’m sorry I didn’t mean to


    scare you.” I kiss her forehead. I notice that the sun is starting to peak through the window. We must


    have slept all night. Having her in my arms for the first time while we slept, both Talon and I felt whole


    and content. “Guess what” her question brings me out of my thoughts. I smile and lean down pecking


    her lips. “What love” I ask. “It’s tomorrow”, Amelia says. She reaches up, pulling me down, pressing her


    lips to mine. I pull back knowing exactly what she means, “let me go get the doctor so we can get out of


    here.” I head out into the hallway and grab the doctor to clear Amelia to leave. Once he clears her, I


    give her a dress that I had the omegas bring over. I threw everything she was wearing away because it


    was covered in his blood. She goes in to the bathroom andes back out dressed in a light pink


    sundress. She is so beautiful and I can’t wait for us to have the bond between us.


    “Amelia with everything that happened, I never asked why Max was bleeding.” She smiles “I wasn’t


    going to let him take me or hurt our pup.” “I partially shifted and dragged my w across his neck.”


    “That is the only reason he didn’t manage to take me from the pack house.” “You really are amazing,


    both of you.” “Talon and I have truly been blessed with such a strong mate and Luna.” I take Amelia’s


    hand and we head up the path toward the pack house. Once we are inside, I want to grab some


    breakfast before we head up to our room. I n on spending the day making her mine. We will both


    need the fuel. “Let’s get some food and we can take it up to our room.” She nods and we walk into the


    dining room. My eyesnd on Jennifer sitting at a table near mine. I immediately look back at the buffet


    that has been set up by the omegas. I can’t even look at her without wanting to kill her a** right now. I


    grab a tray and load it with some of everything.


    We start toward the door and my parentse rushing in. As soon as they see Amelia, my mother


    pulls her into her arms. “Amelia, are you and our grand pup alright” my mother asks. “Yes Lorraine, we


    are both good.” Once she let’s go of Amelia, my father hugs her. “You had us worried, thank the


    goddess you both are alright” my father says. I really have the best parents. I see my mother’s eyes


    sh to someone behind us and I pray she isn’t this stupid. “Amelia, I’m d to see you’re alright”,


    Jennifer says. “The whole pack heard what Max did to you.” We both turn and Jennifer is standing


    there with a look of concern on her face. Before I can say anything, Amelia steps forward until she and


    Jennifer are practically touching.

    Amelia POV


    This b**ch is out of her mind. I step in front of her, but I need to remember the pack doesn’t realize that


    I’m there Luna yet. Besides that, we don’t have proof of her involvement in what Max did. “Thank you


    for your concern, both myself and my pup are perfect.” “You can rest assured that anyone who tries to


    hurt me or my pup will be dealt with.” I turn heading back to stand next to Lincoln. I take Lincoln’s hand


    and I watch her eyes drop to our joined hands. “I would like all pack members in the pack yard before


    dinner, with no exception”, Lincoln says to everyone in the dining room. We say goodbye to his parents


    and head upstairs. Once we are in the room, he sets the food down on the table in the corner. He pulls


    out my chair and we sit eating our breakfast. “I’m sure you realize I will be announcing you tonight.”


    “How do you think your pack is going to take the news that I’m your mate and that I’m already


    pregnant?” “Honestly Amelia, that is none of their business.” “I ept our pup and that is all that


    matters.” “Any pack member that has a problem can look for a new pack.” “I love you Lincoln and I’m


    ready to be yours.” “I love you Amelia and I will spend the rest of my life showing you how much.”


    As POV


    “Alpha, there is a group of Elders here to see you”, a patrol guard links me. What the hell are they


    doing here? Thomas is supposed to be fixing this bulls*t with Elder James. “Fine, bring them to my


    office.” I link Walker, as he is my Beta now, toe to my office immediately. He enters my office


    minutes before three Elders walk in with the patrol guard. I dismiss the guard and I offer them a seat.


    “Elders, to what do I owe this visit?” “We are here on formal business, Alpha As.” “What business is


    that?” “There have been usations made against you by your former mate and Beta.” I growl “she is


    not my former mate.” “She is my mate and Luna.” “I’m sorry but Amelia has made it perfectly clear she


    will be breaking her bond with you and epting Alpha Lincoln after what you have done to her.” “You


    n to allow another Alpha to steal my mate and Luna.” “She is carrying my pup in her belly.” “The


    Elders will not get involved in your mate’s choice after you vited your bond with her with Freya


    Canfield.”


    “If you have made your decision that my mate can reject our bond, then what may I ask are you here to


    investigate?” “You have been used of killing Alpha Elias.” “That is absurd, I would never hurt my


    brother.” “Freya killed Elias because she wanted me, which is exactly why my mate is not here.” “I


    made a stupid decision and you are allowing that mistake to taint your view of me.” “Alpha As, your


    actions with Freya have nothing to do with how this investigation will proceed.” “If you have done


    nothing wrong then you have no reason to worry about the oue of our investigation” Elder James


    says.


    Unknown POV


    “What now they have taken Max to the cells and by the sounds of it, he is going to kill him.” “He had


    one job, to get her out of the pack territory.” “He couldn’t handle a f**king pregnant she-wolf for


    goddess’s sake.” “If he kills him, it will be his own fault.” “He was following your orders and now you’re


    going to just let this happen to him.” “If Lincoln finds out, that I’m involved what do you think will happen


    to me?” “I have far more to lose than you do.” “You better just keep your mouth shut.” “Fine but you


    better think of something fast because soon he will be bonded to that b**ch.” The phone disconnects


    and I can’t believe he is going to let Max die. I can’t believe I trusted him.
