    Jake heard Ashley''s scream as he dashed out of the bathroom, but not forgetting to grab him a towel.


    He carefully rushed downstairs shouting Ashley''s name before entering the living room to find a busted


    window, a brick on the living room table, and a shaking Ashley in the corner of the room sobbing.


    He rushes to her side immediately pulling her into his arms as she quickly clenched onto him, "Baby,


    what happened?" He asked gently rocking her body, "T-They lied to us, " she cried as Jake furrowed,


    "Who did, baby?" He asked as Ashley pulled away, "The police, they said they would find them, " she


    said as Jake signed, "I don''t want to stay here, Jake, " she said as more tears rolled down her cheeks


    as Jake wipe them away.


    "Alright, wait here for me toe back, " he said as Ashley began to panic, "No, please don''t leave


    me, " she pleaded as Jake smiled weakly, "Alright, baby, I got you, " he said before lifting her and they


    both went up to his room.


    "What are we going to do, Jake, they''re probably still out there?" Ashley asked as Jake got dressed,


    "We''ll call back the police, let them know what happened, and then we''ll find a ce to stay, " he said


    as Ashley furrowed, "Where are we going to go, we have no money to book a hotel, " she said as Jake


    stopped and think for a bit, "What about Anna?" He asked as Ashley continued to furrow, "What about


    her?" She asked as Jake gave her a look causing Ashley to shook her head, "No, I''m not involving


    Anna in this, " she said as Jake scoffed, "She''s already involved in this drama, Ash, remember, " he


    said as Ashley nodded, "Do you think she will let us stay?" She asked as Jake shrugged, "You are her


    best friend."


    After Jake got dressed, he and Ashley left the house with some things as Ashley wanted in Jake''s car,


    while Jake made a quick phone call.


    Soon the police were on the scene, Officer Willow was speaking to both Ashley and Jake on the side


    while the other officers were examing the scene.


    "There are nowhere to be found, " Officer Willow said as Ashley stared at him in disbelief, "What do you


    mean they are nowhere to be found, you said you would catch them, " Ashley said in an angry tone as


    Jake stroked her hair to calm her down.


    "They knew we wereing, " Officer Willow said as Ashley sighed frustrated before walking away.


    Jake turned back to Officer Willow, "How long will it take for you guys to find them?" Jake asked as


    Officer Willow sighed, "We''re doing all that we can, son, I suggest you two find a ce to stay and let


    us do our jobs, " he said as Jake nodded, "Thanks for your help, Office, " Jake said as Officer Willow


    nodded before walking away.


    Jake turned to Ashley, who was leaning up against the car door with her arms folded. Jake sighed


    before walking towards her as she avoided his stares, "The police are doing all that they can, Ashley, "


    he said as Ashley rolled her eyes, "And what if they don''t find them?" She asked as Jake chuckled


    bitterly, "Why are you being so negative?" He asked as Ashley scoffed, "Because they are dangerous, I


    can''t just rxation knowing that they are still out there, " she said as Jake sighed, "They''re doing all


    that they can, Ash, " he said as Ashley nodded, "Whatever, Jake, can we leave, I called Anna, she said


    we could crash at her ce, " she said before turning around and getting in the car.


    Jake began to get frustrated as he sighed before getting inside the car. The ride to Anna''s house was


    awfully quiet for Jake''s liking as he nced at Ashley from time to time. Ashley was lost in thought as


    she stared out of the window. She missed her mom and wished that she was here with her.


    Soon they arrived at Anna''s house as she stood outside waiting for their arrival. Ashley exited the car


    followed by Jake as Anna walked towards Ashley, "Hey, " she greeted as Ashley smiled before pulling


    her into a hug, "Hey, thanks for letting us crash at your ce, Anna, " she said Anna waved her off, "It''s


    not a big deal and I''m so sorry for what Tatiana diss to you both, " she said looking at both Ashley and


    Jake, who stood there silently.


    "Thanks, Anna, but whatever your cousin is doing to us isn''t your fault, " she said as Anna smiled


    before looking back at her house, "We should probably head in outside is freezing, " she said as Ashley

    "So, what''s going to happen now?" Anna asked as she and Ashley settled in the living room while Jake


    settled in the guest bedroom that Anna provided them, "I don''t know, the police are looking for them,


    but I''m honestly scared, what if they don''t find them," Ashley said as she ran her hand through her hair,


    "What about your mom, does she know about this?" Anna asked as Ashley shook her head, "No, she


    and Roger went to Hawaii for their anniversary, I don''t want to worry her," Ashley replied as Anna


    nodded.


    The living room went silent as both Ashley and Anna sat on the couch, Anna suddenly thought about


    Jake as she turned towards Ashley, "So you and Jake, huh?" She asked catching Ashley off guard as


    she turned towards her with widened eyes, "What?" She asked as Anna chuckled, "I asked about you


    and Jake, what''s with you two?" She asked as Ashley turned slightly red causing Anna tough, "Um,


    well, we confessed to each other," she said as Anna smirked, "Really, that''s exciting," she said as


    Ashley shrugged with a small smile on her face, "I guess, but he''s leaving soon," she said as Anna


    furrowed, "Why does he have to leave?" She asked as Ashley sighed, "His mom heard about the


    incident and wants him to return home," she said as Anna ce a hand on Ashley''s shoulder.


    "Don''t worry, I bet y''all find a way to be together," she said as Ashley smiled, "What about you?" Ashley


    asked as Anna shrugged, "I met this guy, he''s cool," she said as Ashley smirked while nudging her,


    "Really, that''s exciting, what''s his name?" She asked as Anna blushed, "His name is Tucker, I met him


    at the racing grounds," she asked as Ashley smiled, "That''s great, Anna, I''m happy for you," she asked


    as Anna smiled before pulling her into a tight hug.


    Soon time passed and Ashley and Anna said goodnight to each other.


    Ashley silently snuck into the guestroom where Jake was sound asleep.


    She silently gets into bed trying her best not to wake him as she sessfully did so. As she tried to get


    mumbled in a sleepy, raspy tone as Ashley smiled at him, "You were waiting on me?" She asked as


    Jake pulled her closer to his body, "I can''t seem to sleep without you," he said as Ashley snuggled into


    his chest, "I''m sorry," she apologized as Jake furrowed, "Why are you sorry?" He asked as Ashley


    sighed, "For my attitude earlier tonight," she said as Jake stroke her hair, "It''s okay, baby girl, I get that


    you''re frustrated and scared but we''ll get through this together," he said as he kissed her hair.


    "Yeah, we''ll get through this together, you and me," she said before drifting off to sleep.
