"WHAT!" Anna shouted as my face went pale. Tatiana flinched from her cousin''s sudden outburst. "Yo!
what the hell, girl," Tatiana winced while caressing her left ear. "Did you just say, Jake, as in hot,
muscr, tatted, Jake?" Anna asked as Tatiana nods with a smirk stered on her lips. I wish I could
smack that smirk off her face and I had no clue why I mean I could care less about Jake or whoever is
crushing over his yboy ass.
I watched as Anna sunk in her seat, mumbling a few curse words under her breath. Tatiana nced at
her cousin wondering what she''s tripping over before ncing at me through the rearview mirror.
"What''s up with you guys, you know the dude or something?" She asked as I rolled my eyes, "He''s
Ashely''s stepbrother, Tati," Anna answered as Tatiana''s eyes widened.
"You mean, you get to see that spiro walking around your house?" Tatiana asked as I didn''t bother to
answer her stupid question, focusing my attention outside the window.
"Damn, Ash, I''m sorry, I didn''t know Jake would be there, I-
"Take me home, Anna," I said, not bothering to take my eyes from looking out the window, "What?" She
asked as I finally looked in her direction, "I want to go home, Anna," I repeated before Tatiana butt in.
"Want to go home, we''re almost there," she said as Anna quickly turned to scold her. "Look, Ash, we
can''t turn back now, we''ll just avoid him, okay," Anna said as I sighed before nodding.

After the short, silent journey, we finally arrived at the racing grounds. The ce was packed with
people. It gave off an intriguing and exciting vibe, which caused a small smile to crack against my lips.
"Damn, today''s packed," Annamented as Tatiana smirked, "Mhm, they''re probably here to see my
man," she said as I furrowed at her statement, "Your man?" I asked as she hummed, "Mhm, my man,
I''m going to make him mine tonight, " she said with a smirk stered on her lips before ncing at me
through the rearview mirror.
"You don''t mind, do you?" She asked as she tried to be genuine but it only blew up in her face as Anna
harshly nudged her, ''Why would I, I don''t give two shits about Jake and his fling," I replied as her jaw
dropped but I could care less as I exited the car.
Anna followed right behind me and she was followed by Tatiana, who angrily mmed her car door.
Anna came up to me with a regretful look that made me roll my eyes. "I''m really sorry, Ash, I know how
much you hate Jake and-

"It''s not your fault, Anna, let''s just get this over with and go home," I said before walking away with my
arms folded across my chest. My body jolted forward as I felt a heavy weight on my body and arms
wrapped around my waist, "I love you, besties," Anna said as she tried to smooch my cheek causing
me to giggle, "Get off of me, you weirdo," I joked as we bothughed.

After greeting all the people that Anna knew, we finally found a spot where we had a clear view of the
racers. I had never experienced anything like this before and to be honest I loved it.
Everyone was in their own world conversing with their peers when the roaring sounds of engines
caught their attention. Everyone cheered for their favorite racers as they gathered at the starting lines.
There were different brands, colors, and designs of cars lined up but the one that caught my attention
was the one that drove up in the center, Jake''s car.
To be honest, he looked so hot as he focused on doing one thing and one thing only.
To win.
I saw as he red at the driver beside him, who smirked in return. Soon his attention was stolen by a
particr girl who slid into his car. "Holy shit, is that Tatiana?" Anna asked in disbelief as my blood
began to boil. Jake smirked at the driver, who rolled his eyes before setting his eyes on me as a smirk
slowly stretched upon his lips.
"HEY MA! YOU WANNA ACCOMPANY THE WINNING RACER?" He yelled causing everyone''s
attention to turn to me. Anna excitedly turned towards me while shaking her head excitedly, "Dude, you
gotta go, it''s definitely getting under Jake''s skin, just look at him," she said motioning me to look at
Jake, and if looks could kill, I''d be dead.
I nced back at the guy, who was holding the door open for me before making my way towards him
with a smirk on my lips. I passed Jake''s car as his re followed my every move.
"Thank you!" I mumbled before sliding into his car. I quickly fastened my seatbelt as I began to feel
nervous. The guy entered the car as he shes me a sweet smile that makes me melt.
"I''m Jay," he introduced as I smiled, "I''m Ashely, thank you for this experience," I said as his smile
widened, "This is your first time?" He asked as I nod, "Yes, I''m a little nervous," I replied as he
chuckled, "Don''t be, you''ll love it," he said as his engineer roared causing me to flinch.
My attention was suddenly caught by the half-naked woman that walked in front of the starting line with
a g.
"On your marks," The woman said as the cars began to roar.
"You ready?" Jay asked as he focused on the woman, "I think so," I replied.
"Get set," she said as Jay changed his gears, ''Don''t worry, beautiful, you''ll be fine," he said causing me
to blush.
"GO!" The body jolts forward as the car takes off at full speed. I looked behind us to see all the cars
way behind. "WHOOO!" I screamed earning augh from Jay, beside us was Jake as he caught up. I
managed to make eye contact with Tatiana. "KEEP UP, HONEY!" She yelled as Jake passed us.
"Bitch!" I mumbled as Jayughed, "Don''t worry, baby, we''ll catch them," he said as he sped up, as we
were passing their car, I stuck my head out, "SEE YOU, HONEY!" I yelled as Jay''sugh echoed.
I sat back inside enjoying our victory when.
"JAY! LOOKOUT!"
