Chapter 25 - You Can Have It


    He opened the bag and took out a beautifully designed paper box.


    A slice of double chocte fudge cake?


    Wang Shen Ze paused for a moment as he fell into a deep thought.


    How did she know that this is his favourite cake?


    In fact, he does not even eat cakes in general except when it is in this vour!


    Even though humans are naturally imperfect, Wang Shen Ze has never liked to show other people his


    weaknesses.


    He has always preferred to put on a strong front, but deep inside, there are also times when his


    negative emotions could overwhelm him.


    Hence, each time he is feeling down, he would hide in his room to eat this cake and feel much better


    afterwards.


    But he did not recall sharing this secret of his to anyone!


    Except... for that one time...


    Wang Shen Ze looked up and saw Lin Wen Xin’s busy figure back facing him through the ss


    windows.


    “No! This can’t be it!”


    He thought to himself as he looked at the cake again in disbelief.


    It must have been a pure coincidence that she has bought this vour!


    Wang Shen Ze sneered as though he had finally understood the whole situation.


    “Humph, so you are trying to earn my favour with this small cake? Dream on!”


    He then threw the entire box together with the bag into the bin that is near him.


    Over in the other room, Lin Wen Xin is indeed busy arranging the carton boxes that Yi Fan had just


    brought in.


    It is even an understatement to say that her office looks like a warehouse now!


    She then spent the next hour trying to sort out the documents from one of the boxes.


    Bnce sheet...? Statement of ie... Statement of stockholder’s equity?...


    What are these foreign terms??


    She is a design student after all and she really could not make sense of what is going on.


    Lin Wen Xin realised that this is going nowhere as well and thought that it might be more practical to


    ask for some help.


    She then turned around and saw Wang Shen Ze holding on to a pen and vetting through a document in


    his hands.


    Wow! A man who is serious at work is always so charismatic!


    She could literally sit here and watch him all day but it is a pity that she has too much work on hand.


    Lin Wen Xin quickly noticed that the paper bag is no longer on Wang Shen Ze’s table.


    Oh! Did he already finish the cake?


    That’s so fast!


    “I wonder if he is feeling better after eating it...”

    There was a time in high school when Lin Wen Xin remembered she was in low spirits because some


    of her ssmates had despised her for not having a mother.


    She cried for a long time at one of the stairwells in school and a boy happened to hear her from


    outside.


    Suddenly, she saw a pair of shoes in front of her. She immediately looked up and saw that the boy is


    Wang Shen Ze.


    This was actually the second time that they have met, with the first being the secret diary incident.


    Wang Shen Ze’s cold personality has resulted in him not being very proficient in consoling people.


    He would usually mind his own business and not be bothered to intervene.


    However, it was unknown why he felt differently that day and could not bear to just walk away and


    leave her alone.


    After hesitating for a moment, he decided to walk over to where she was sitting and stretched out his


    hand to pass her a box that contained a double fudge chocte cake.


    Lin Wen Xin clearly remembered his awkward words to her, “I will always feel better after eating this.


    You can have it.”


    And before she could even thank him after she epted it, he had already walked away.


    Ever since that day, the two of them would frequently sit together for lunch breaks and from just being


    ordinary friends, they soon became lovers.


    Lin Wen Xin could not help but smile to herself as she recollected these sweet memories.


    Wang Shen Ze suddenly looked up from his desk and happened to catch this scene.


    Their eyes interlocked for a mere few seconds before the office’s phone that is ced on her desk


    started ringing.


    She hurriedly walked over and picked up the phone, “Hello, this is DT Holdings. How may I...”


    “Bring me a cup of coffee. I want it from the shop opposite our office.”


    A familiar but cold and authoritative voice sounded through the phone.


    Lin Wen Xin turned around again and looked at Wang Shen Ze, only to see him releasing his finger


    from the inte.


    It was not like the office is not equipped with the best coffee machine, but it was pretty obvious that he


    just wanted to make life more difficult for her.


    However, to Lin Wen Xin, she is more than willing to take on this task and definitely did not mind


    serving him at all!


    After all, not everyone gets this honour to do so!


    She enthusiastically gave him an “Okay” sign before running off to get him the coffee.


    Wang Shen Ze unconsciously gave a low chuckle before resuming his work.


    Soon, Lin Wen Xin brought the coffee and walked into his office cheerfully.


    “President Wang, here is your Caffe Americano with two packets of sugar and a little bit of milk.”


    Wang Shen Ze looked at Lin Wen Xin. He casually took the cup of coffee from her and ced it on his


    table.


    To be honest, he was quite stunned when he heard that she got the order perfectly right!


    He had thought of getting her to run a few rounds until she had gotten the right order but...


    Is she a worm in his stomach?!


    How did she know the exact order he wanted?!


    Forget it... let her do something else!


    “Bring these approved documents down to the operations department!”


    “Arrange for the marketing team to meet me in ten minutes!”


    “Print out twenty copies of this proposal and file each of them up!”


    The endless orders from Wang Shen Ze kepting in and eventually, Lin Wen Xin had no choice but


    to stay back after working hours to finish up her original workload for the day.


    Several hourster, Lin Wen Xin stretched out her arms and massaged her shoulder with her hands as


    she nced at the clock.


    Sote? It is already 10.30pm!


    She turned around and happened to see Wang Shen Ze packing up and getting ready to leave.


    Lin Wen Xin also quickly packed up and stood at the door to wait for him.


    Since there is only the two of them left in the office, she thought that perhaps she could take his car


    back home tonight as it is already veryte.


    However, before she even got a chance to ask him, Wang Shen Ze had already walked away as


    though she was entirely invincible to him.


    Lin Wen Xin quickened her footsteps and chased after him with her high heels.


    “Uhm... Pres... President Wang... Do you mind if you drive me back too?”
