Chapter 23 - His Suspicions
Wang Shen Ze briefly exined the situation to him over the phone.
“Yes President Wang, I will get to this immediately.”
What made him so sure of his suspicions of Hong Xin Rui?
The answer to this is simple - the ss of milk!
During his days at high school, Wang Shen Ze would often stay back in school with his first love to
study together till the sky turned dark.
He used to have a habit of drinking coffee after his dinner.
This kept him very awake at night which was good for him to do his work but he had troubles sleeping
when he got home.
His first love then decided to switch the coffee to milk for him.
Even though there is no caffeine content, the constant sipping could help him to remain awake for that
short period of time.
However, Wang Shen Ze did not fancy drinking milk that much, and he usually could not finish a full
ss of milk.
Hence, his first love decided to always pour specifically three quarters full so he could finish it and
would not waste a single drop.
However, today’s milk was filledpletely to the brim and this raised his suspicions of Hong Xin Rui
again!
It is highly impossible that she would forget about this detail!
After all, she was the one who suggested and did this in the first ce.
But then again, so many years have passed and there are also several factors to put into
consideration.
Nevertheless, Wang Shen Ze wanted to be sure this time and decided to hire another investigator.
There was a nagging doubt at the back of his mind that Hong Xin Rui might not be the girl that he is
looking for.

The next morning, Lin Wen Xin woke up early as usual to prepare the lunch bento for both Wang Shen
Ze and herself.
Together with her carton box that she had packed the day before, she took a taxi to DT Holdings.
Since it is her first day of work at thepany, she decided to arrive earlier so she could have some
time to unpack her things and familiarise with the new environment.
Back in the house, Wang Shen Ze came down for breakfast with his business suit, holding a briefcase
on one hand.
As he walked into the dining hall, he took a quick nce and realised that Lin Wen Xin is not around.
Usually she is the one diligently serving him breakfast every morning before leaving for work.
Though she is not here this morning, his breakfast is already ced neatly on the table, just like how
he likes it to be.
Toasted bread on a huge round te with ham and two sunny side ups on top of it.
The butter and jam are on his right hand side while the freshly brewed tea is ced on the left side.
It is obvious that this was attentively prepared by Lin Wen Xin.
Wang Shen Ze turned and ask one of the servants, “Where is she?”
“Sir, Ms Lin already left the house about ten minutes ago.” The servant quickly replied with her head
bowed down.
He was originally expecting Lin Wen Xin to ask him if she could get a ride from him to the office since
they are going to the same destination.
In fact, Wang Shen Ze was still thinking of ways to mercilessly reject her and make her get to the office
on her own.
Never would he have imagined that she would leave so early on her own today.
Shouldn’t a girl like her be waiting and wanting to be ferried to work?
After all, entering the office with the boss is quite a huge deal.
But what is this situation now? She actually went to work on her own?
“Lin Wen Xin, you are truly unpredictable!” Wang Shen Ze sneered as he thought to himself.
The truth is that just like how Lin Wen Xin did not want her colleagues to know that she is associated to
Lin Gao Hai, she also did not want her new colleagues to know that she is married to Wang Shen Ze.
She really did not want to be in the centre of attention wherever she goes as this would really make it
inconvenient for her to work properly.
However, it seems like this oue is unavoidable from tomorrow onwards.
Wang Shen Ze ordered the servant to let everyone know that, “She will take my car every morning.
Without my permission, she will not be allowed to leave on her own!”
“Yes Sir, I understand.”

At DT Holdings
The receptionists immediately stood up and waved at her as soon as they saw her walking towards
their counter.
“Hello Ms Lin! Are you sending this box to the President’s office today?”
“Ha-ha! This box belongs to me. I’m actually here to get a work pass from youdies!”
“Work pass? Your full name is... Lin Wen Xin?” One of the receptionists asked her as she scrolled
through the list on herputer.
“Yes that’s right! It is my name! I got transferred here temporarily from my previouspany.”
They continued to chat with her for the next few minutes while waiting for her work pass to be ready.
Lin Wen Xin then carried her box and took the elevator up to the fifty-eighth level where the President’s
office is situated at.
Not everyone have the privilege to enter the fifty-eighth level of the building.
Even the executives in thepany would have to make an appointment beforehand!
One must have a special ess card that they could use to tap on the screen inside the elevator in
order to be brought up to this level.
While bosses of otherpanies only have a portion of a level as their office space, Wang Shen Ze
had the entire level to himself.
The space is so huge that it also houses an ensuite bedroom, gym, dining room with a fully equipped
kitchen, theatre and severalrge conference rooms.
This level is solely for himself and his team of secretaries led by Yi Fan.
As Lin Wen Xin stepped out of the elevator, she entered a grand lobby area but caught no sight of the
working space.
To phrase it nicely, this ce is like a second reception area.
But to put it bluntly, it is simply like a security zone before you officially enter the President’s office.
Over at the ground floor, you have several beautifuldies receiving guests at the reception area.
But here... you are only faced with unfriendly and serious looking male receptionists.

Lin Wen Xin was slightly appalled by what she saw and thought to herself, “Are they here as
bodyguards or receptionists?... Or perhaps both?...”
Before her thoughts could wander any further, one of the male receptionist quickly walked over to her.
“Good morning Ms Lin, please follow me.”
Sure enough, they knew exactly the people who would being up to the fifty-eighth level.
Since Lin Wen Xin would be working closely with Wang Shen Ze and Yi Fan during this period of time,
a special area has already been prepared for her.
Her office room that is surrounded by ss walls, is situated directly in front of Wang Shen Ze’s office.
Which means to say that everyone would have to enter her room first before they could enter the
President’s office.
So... she is the final security check point?
The male receptionist quickly left after he had sent her to the designated working area.
There was no further instruction given regarding her job scope so she could only wait till Wang Shen
Ze arrive.
Lin Wen Xin decided to ce the lunch bento on his table first beforeing out to unpack her things.
His office incorporated a modern ck, white and grey design theme.
It sounds sleek and ssy but when you are really here, it only gives off the cold vibe.
Thankfully there are full length ss windows to bring in sufficient natural lighting.
Otherwise this ce could even be leased out to film a corporate horror movie!
How can someone be efficient when working in such an environment?
Just as Lin Wen Xin is about to leave, she chanced upon a familiar white box packaging on the
bookshelf.
She stretched out her hand and even tip toed to reach for it but was stillcking in that few centimetres.
Suddenly, it felt like someone hade to save her from this misery!
A beautifulrge hand had appeared.
Wait... but...
Not only did that hand not help her get the box, it held on tightly to her wrist?
Lin Wen Xin immediately tilted her head upwards to the right and saw Wang Shen Ze’s erged
face.
