Chapter 7 - You Are Not Qualified


    “I just called you...” Before Lin Wen Xin couldplete her sentence, Wang Shen Ze went forward and


    swiftly grabbed both sides of her outerwear.


    He once again mmed her back against the wall in an aggressive manner.


    Wang Shen Ze then released his right hand on Lin Wen Xin’s outerwear and grabbed her chin in the


    next second.


    His bloodshot eyes stared straight into her eyes as he coldly spat out these words, “Don’t you dare to


    call me that again!”


    “You? Heh...” Wang Shen Ze sneered as he looked away for a second before looking straight into her


    eyes once again.


    He raised his eyebrows and looked down at her condescendingly.


    Wang Shen Ze enunciated each word with a cold and mocking tone, “You are not qualified!”


    He then threw his hands down and took out a handkerchief from the inside of his jacket, wiped his


    hands thoroughly and threw it away into the bin nearby.


    Wang Shen Ze waspletely disgusted that he has even had skin contact with Lin Wen Xin. It was as


    though she was extremely dirty in his eyes!


    Lin Wen Xin held back her tears as she saw him walking further and further away from her.


    She really did not want to cry!


    But as soon as Wang Shen Ze’s figure disappeared from the corridor, her body immediately copsed


    and slid down the wall.


    Lin Wen Xin covered her face as she cried uncontrobly.


    She hate to admit but Wang Shen Ze’s words had really reached in and stabbed the most delicate part


    of her heart.


    It was so hurtful!


    And crying is the only way that she could ease this pain.


    After a short while, Lin Wen Xin remembered that Lin Gao Hai is still waiting for her in the dining room.


    She did not want him to worry about her.


    Lin Wen Xin quickly recollected herself as she went back to the bathroom to fix her make up.


    After ensuring that she looks the same as before, she left the bathroom and walked towards the private


    room.


    “Wen Xin, you are back! I was just about to ask Shen Ze to send you back home tonight!” Xu Jia Li


    gave a secretive wink to Lin Gao Hai to ask for his cooperation.


    Lin Gao Hai understood her good intentions and immediately agreed to it, “Yes, Wen Xin. Shen Ze can


    send you back tonight. I still need to head to the office to get some documents.”


    Lin Gao Hai clumsily found an excuse so Lin Wen Xin would not feel bad to leave him alone.


    Granny Wang was overjoyed when she heard this arrangement, “That’s good that’s good! The two


    young people can spend more time together and build their rtionship!”


    Soon, everyone left the restaurant and waved goodbye, leaving only the two of them behind.


    A ck Rolls Royce car pulled over in front of them, and the driver respectfully returned the car keys to


    Wang Shen Ze.


    Wang Shen Ze walked straight into the driver’s seat and closed the door.


    Lin Wen Xin saw this scene and was hesitating if she should grab a taxi back on her own.


    However, it was already veryte and this restaurant is located in the remote area of the capital.


    If she were to wait for a taxi, it would probably take the driver another one hour to get here from the


    city’s centre.


    Furthermore, it is unsafe for a girl to be travelling back on her own at thiste hour.


    Never mind! I will just take his car and owe him this favour!


    Lin Wen Xin hurriedly walked towards the front passenger seat that is beside Wang Shen Ze.


    As soon as she got in, she heard his cold voice, “Did I say you can sit on this seat? Move to the back!”


    Lin Wen Xin had no choice but to move to the back.


    After all, the master of the car had the final say!


    Lin Wen Xin then gave Wang Shen Ze her address since he was going to drive her home. But the only


    response she got was the pin drop silence in the car.

    She was sure that he had heard her, but yet at the same time, she was unsure if he actually heard her!


    The aircon’s temperature in the car clearly stated that it is at 20 degrees celcius... But why does it feel


    as though it is 5 degrees celcius in the car?


    So cold!!


    Soon, the car started and the journey back to her home was smooth.


    Along the way, Lin Wen Xin stared at the beautiful scenery outside of the window.


    Initially it was only mountains and rivers, then the city life blended in and acquired the view.


    Lin Wen Xin subconsciously smiled as she observed the local people living out their day to day life.


    The roadside stall owners were actively encouraging the patrons to purchase their products.


    The young children ran around the area, with no worries on their mind.


    The older people settled down at the makeshift food stalls with their drinks to talk about the depths of


    life.


    Life is actually so simple! But humans came into the picture and made thingsplicated.

    Due to the light repetitive sound from the car engine coupled with the man’s steady driving, Lin Wen


    Xin had soon fallen asleep.


    Today had indeed been a long and tiring day for her.


    She couldn’t help but catch up on the sleep that she had lost for the past three nights.


    Each time she was about to fall into a deep sleep, her head would knock against the ss window, as


    though it was reminding her to move back to her original position.


    Wang Shen Ze asionally stared at Lin Wen Xin through the rear view mirror.


    His eyes were so deep that no one could actually guess what he was thinking.


    The hustling and bustling ended abruptly as the car drove towards a quieter area of the city where only


    the rich resided at.


    “Screech...” The car came to a sudden stop. Lin Wen Xin couldn’t control her body and flung forward.


    She immediately reached out to tidy her messy hair and looked at Wang Shen Ze, “Thank you for the


    ride. I owe you this.”


    Since they were no longer close, she had to be calctive about it and return the favour.


    Wang Shen Ze remained silent, as he stared straight ahead, not even sparing her a look.


    Lin Wen Xin originally wanted to speak a few more words to him, but decided not to due to his


    indifferent attitude.


    She alighted from the car and waited till it exited from her sight.

    At the Lin Residence


    Lin Wen Xin’s room is designed with a luxurious french theme in mind, with the three main colours -


    white, natural beige and hints of blush pink.


    There is also a huge chandelier hanging on the ceiling in the middle of the room.


    Her ensuite bedroom is big enough to have a small reception area with two sofas and a marble coffee


    table in the middle.


    Lin Wen Xin washed up andid on her bed as she stared at the high ceiling.


    She could already imagine that her marriage life is not going to be smooth.


    But since when was life always a smooth sailing journey?


    Only when you experience your lowest point, could you then feel how it is like to be at your highest.


    Lin Wen Xin remains optimistic as she told herself in her heart, “Since I have chosen this path, there is


    no turning back.”

    The next morning


    Lin Wen Xin ismuting to work as usual when she chanced upon this huge advertisement on the


    billboard.


    She jammed impatiently on the bell and pleaded the bus driver, “Stop! I’m alighting! Please


    stop!”
