Chapter 47


    Alissa


    I walked up those small three stairs. He was looking at me with so much of love in his eyes. I wanted to


    ask him so many questions. Like, did he get married? Is Cheryl here? Do he miss me? Do he love me?


    But I asked none of these. I wanted to sink that silence inside of me. I wanted to hug him. Dance with


    him. Kiss him. Run away with him. But all I did was hold his hand in mine and taking in the warmth of


    his hand. He intertwined his finger with mine and put his other hand on my back and a soft music


    started to y from behind.


    I was just looking in his eyes. He brought his face near mine and I could feel his breath hitting my neck.


    I was staring at his soft lips wanting to kiss them and nothing else. But, I think he can read my mind


    cause he did it. He captured my lips with his. The kiss was soft yet passionate. He slowly pulled back


    and I stared at him with love, amazement and passion. The song shortly after came to an end. We both


    were frozen. Just looking at each other and admiring each other.


    But I didn''t realized when out of a sudden tears formed in my eyes. I wanted to talk to him but there


    was a knot in my throat. A tear slipped out of my eye and rolled down my cheek. Eric brushed it away


    with his fingers. I just without hesitating hugged him. I started to sob. I missed him so much. I love him


    so much. He just patted my back and made me feel better.


    "I love you" He said in my ear softly.


    It was the first thing which any one has spoken till now and he was the first one to speak.


    "I love you too" I said in between my sobs.


    "Come on" He said and I broke the hug.


    He held my hand and took me near a beautiful table which was decorated so nicely. Two chairs were


    there. In the middle of the table there was a rose and a card written "Youplete me"


    I was overwhelmed by that gesture. He pulled the chair for me and I thanked him silently. He sat in


    front of me. He looked at me for a few seconds. Maybe thinking how to start the conversation.


    "I am sorry Alissa" He said.


    "It''s fine" I said, pulling back the tears which were forming in my eyes.


    "No it''s not fine. But I want to clear all those things. I want to tell you everything" He said.


    "Eric really it''s fine. I trust you. I don''t want to look back now"


    "Please Alissa. For the sake of my internal peace" He literally begged.


    "Okay"


    He told me everything. About Cheryl''s another man. About the money. About the shares. About the


    deal. About everything. I truly felt bad for his family at this point.


    "So this happened" Eric finished.


    "I love you for you loyalty and honesty. Do you know that?" I said.


    "And I love you for your everything" He said. Making me blush.


    The waiter brought us our food and we ate. It was delicious. After we ate our food Eric got up from his


    seat and led me to the other side of the beach. There were no decorations. Only the soothing voice of


    ocean and sunset lights on that ocean.


    "I know you like these things" he said and I giggled.


    We both sat on the sand not caring about our clothes. Just cherishing that moment.


    "Thank you Alissa" he said.


    "For what?" I asked.


    "For the second chance which I don''t deserve" he said.


    "Eric I love you so much that I just can''t see you leave. No need to say thank you"


    "No Alissa seriously. I mean it. Whenever I used to look at Cheryl I always wondered that she is not


    evenpared to you cause you are far more gorgeous than her. You are loving, caring, respective,


    mature, childish and every perfect thing in this world. You are my life. I see my future in you. I see a


    very beautiful soul when I look at you. You are beyond perfect Alissa. I love you more than you can


    even imagine" He said making me an emotional wreck.


    I just hugged him and joined my lips with him.


    Suddenly he just got up and I looked at him. Getting up too. He threw his hand inside his coat pocket.


    He took out a small box and kneeled down at front of me. He opened the box and I was freezed.


    "Alissa Lawrence. In the presence of God. I ask you to give me the pleasure to be your lifetime partner.


    I promise to stand by you in the worst and best. I promise to worship our rtionship and keeping it as

    I was shocked for a moment. Did he just proposed me. Like, what? I mean is this real? Wait? Can


    someone just pinch me?


    I looked at him and he was looking at me with hope. I wanted to stay with him for the rest of my life.


    And now it''s finally happening. I was feeling like I am flying. Like I am in a dream.


    "Eric....Yes...I will marry you" I said.


    I am so sure about it. I want to do this. He stared at me with a big smile. He was really smiling. He was


    looking at me with big shinning eyes making meugh.


    "Are you going to make me wear that ring or not" I said.


    And he replied "Yeah"


    He put that ring on my ring finger and embraced me in that tight hug.


    We both pulled apart, which felt like after ages.


    "Eric but I don''t want to rush things. I want it to go slowly and in a decent way" I said.


    "Take as much time you want Alissa. You can take my whole life. Just don''t leave my side"


    "I will never leave your side Eric. You are too special for me" I said and he pulled me in a hug again.


    This is what you call a day well spent. I knew if god wants me and Eric together then even if it has to


    happen after years. It will surely happen. Destiny wanted us to be together. And so we are here.


    Starting as CEO and a P.A and ending up to be the lifetime partner.
