Chapter 27: You Must Be Happy If I Die
Allison looked at her silently, unfazed by her sudden explosion.
“What’s worse? Lawrence is a public figure. He is involved for the litigant has his bank card and gets
interrogated by police because of this. Do you know how serious his reputation would be affected by
this?”
“I didn’t do what you were iming!” Charlotte screamed at Allison without paying heed to her
exnation.
She looked at Lawrence with teary eyes as she said with cracking voice, “He’s not my man. Besides

“Miss Garcia, the man involved in the ident is still being rescued. We are not interested in his
identity. We just hope that you don’t do anything derogatory to Lawrence’s reputation.”
Charlotte watched them walking away, and there was a nauseating pain in her heart.
It seemed that God always liked joking her. Every time when she almost got out of the trouble, God
