CAYDEN’S POV


    I felt so happy with the way Lily leaned over to kiss me. It felt so good that I wanted more, I loved the way she assured me that no one was taking her away from me. Lily hadpletely stolen my heart as I would hate to share anyone with her, neither did I want to have any rivals.


    The next day, I was going to surprise her with a visit to her restaurant, I had bought a bouquet of flowers and choctes. I had a very nice day yesterday with her, even though we encountered some annoying people on the way, admiring her beauty.


    Lily was stunning, and I loved the way she was, I didn’t know I loved her to this extent until I confessed the day before herpetition. I was so excited to surprise her, and I began to imagine her giving me kisses that would soothe me over and over.


    I really felt that Lily was going to be mine as she was able to send that silly stranger away, so I won’t be too annoyed and jealous.


    Then, I drove off to her ce and while I was in my car, I yed love music that would fill the air with joy and love. She had turned my whole world around with love. I had so many ns in mind on how our dates and outings would go. I was really excited, like a baby who was promised a candy.


    When I got to her restaurant, I saw her attending to customers with a smile and I smiled back like as if I were the one being smiles at, but the smile faded when I saw Jarod. She had re employed Jarod! I was shocked.


    I felt a bit bad seeing him there and that she did not tell me about it, I could see the look on his face, he looked pleased and overjoyed.


    He came over and signalled that we see each other outside, we met outside and talked for a while.


    “What are you doing here?” Cayden asked.

    “Really?” Cayden asked.


    “Yeah, I’m the boss. Remember when Lily and I talked the other day she won thepetition, I told her about my feelings; she was happy when I told her that I would love to be back to being friends with her again. It looks I have a higher chance with her, soon, she will ept me, and you would be left out,” Jarod said.


    “No, that’s not possible,” Cayden said.


    “She is mine already, I can see it in her eyes. Why don’t you stop wasting your time and get another girl?” Jarod said.


    “You can’t fool me with this,” Cayden said, trying to show confidence, even if he was no longer sure.


    “Alright, you’ll see for yourself,” Jarod said and left.


    Cayden felt threatened and went inside the restaurant back and went to meet Lily, who was near Jarod.


    “Lily?” Cayden called out to her.


    “Yes, Cayden,” lily said with a smile.


    “I got this flower for you and a box of choctes,” Cayden said, with a smile.


    “Oh my goodness, thank you so much, Cayden, I love them,” lily said as she sniffed the flowers. She loved the scent.


    “Would you like to go on a date with me?” Cayden asked for Jarod to witness.


    “Of course, I will,” lily said, beaming with smiles.


    JAROD’S POV


    I wonder what cards he has up his sleeves. But I won’t ever back down because Lily is mine and mine alone. I screamed in my mind as I was furious.


    “That’s my baby,” Cayden said.


    Cayden was pleased to hear this and was happy. He looked at Jarod with a victorious smile, and Jarod who was beaming with anger and jealousy, hid his expression, so he wouldn’t look defeated.


    “Uhm… Lily, may I help you out with getting supplies from the local market today?” Jarod asked.


    “Yes, thank you so much,” lily said with gratitude and smiled at him.


    Cayden became really annoyed but tried to keep it in control.


    CAYDEN’S POV


    This guy doesn’t give up, does he? Why can’t he just get someone else and leave to me what is mine?


    After a while, customers had reduced, and I say one of the chairs, so Lily came over to meet me.


    “Thanks for the gift, Cayden. I really love them,” lily said.


    “Really? I am d you love them,” I said.


    “How did flowers and choctes get to your mind?” Lily asked out of curiosity.


    “Well, you’re as attractive as the flowers, you are more attractive I mean, so I bought it. For the chocte, I felt you might love it,” I exined.


    “Wow, I love your hunch. I was craving chocte so bad. Was happy when I saw youing with choctes,” Lily said.


    “Our minds click, right?” I said with a smile.


    “I guess… Maybe it’s because you love me,” she said.


    As she said this, the surrounding aura was tense. I was blushing uncontrobly and finally had to smile.


    “Why is Jarod not here yet?” She said as she looked at her wristwatch.


    Then I remembered Jarod again and felt bad again as Lily still didn’t feel it was necessary for her to tell me. I had to allude to it because I was itching to know her reason for bringing Jared back to work.


    “Lily?” I called.


    “Yes?” She answered.


    “Why didn’t you tell me that you had brought Jarod back to work?” I asked.


    I could see that she felt guilty, as she probably did not remember to tell me.


    “I’m… I’m sorry… It skipped my mind. I should have told you,” she said.


    “It’s alright, so what is your reason for bringing him back?” I asked.


    “Well, he already begged to be reinstated, and I thought it was a nice idea because he is actually fast and good in the kitchen. So, it’s like a bonus for me,” lily said.
