There was a Russian proverb that went like this—


    ‘The only free cheese is in the mousetrap.’


    Thinking back on it now, everything that happened that day was because of someone’s mousetrap.


    I got fired from my job of 7 years, the weather was fucking hot, and on top of it all, I lived in a poor neighborhood that had to be reached by walking up two roads…


    As I tried to catch my breath, that was when it came into my eyes.


    Underneath a street lamp, there was a weathered game capsule.


    And after that? Well, it’s obvious.


    After one morning as an unemployed person, I became a hungry rat. I wasn’t able to take my eyes away from the free cheese.


    If someone were to see me, struggling to carry the capsule, wouldn’t they have clapped 1 their hands and laughed?


    And would have said something like! That stupid fool got caught in a trap.


    Not sure if this is worth mentioning, as I’m not sure how knowledgeable people are about Korean habits but a lot of Koreans clap their hands when laughing
