Chapter 49: 49. Calming Everyone
D''s PoV
I don’t understand what is happening? Why is Anna so anxious!? Why are my beloved sisters angry
with me?
"Hey what happened, de?" I asked Shanu.
She gave me a hard p on my shoulder.
"Aahhhh! Why did you hit me buffalo?"
"I should have not stopped with a p. I should kill you. Where the hell did you go? We all were so
scared. Idiot. You have nomon sense. How many times do we have to call you? What happened
to your damn phone?" she started yelling at me when everyone just looked at us.
"Um... My phone is switched off. Hehe it has no charge."
"You scared us, Danya. God, Where were you?" Dakshu hugged me from the side. Anna is still
hugging me. I can feel his heart race.
I felt so stupid now. I troubled everyone. I should have attended the calls and let them know I’m alright.
Pch! How did Anna know about this? So that is why he called me? Shanu is surely going to kill me. If
looks can kill, I would be dead by now.
"Anna, Dakshu, Please, I''m alright. Anna, I''m so sorry. Please anna. Anni please tell him. Dakshu, god,
leave me. I just went for a walk. I met Dhiwakar on the way. We went for lunch together. My phone
switched off. This is what happened." I told them that I am perfectly alright.
"You went for lunch? Hey Dakshu, Look at her. What did you say and what is she telling now?" Shanu
asked.
"Hey I promise you. Many in the office saw her running out crying." Dakshu held her hands on her
throat/
"OMG, Anni. You are impossible. If you hadn''te by now, we nned to go to the police!" Ravi
literallyughed.
Anna is calm now. Uncle is still sitting without any expressions. I feel all guilty. As everyone say, I''m a
stupid.
"Uncle, I''m so sorry! I didn’t know that this would go this far. I really didn’t intend to make you all
scared. I just went out to get myselfposed. I''m totally alright. I will make it up to you. I will not cheat
you today in ludo. You can cut my coins. I will y honestly today. Please uncle!"
He smiled at me. He caressed my head lovingly.
"You can apply for a divorce, kanna. I''m so sorry for what you are going through." He had tears ready
to drop from his eyes. He can''t say this. I got angry. He can''t feel bad for whatever his stupid son is
doing. He should not be sad.
"Uncle, Whatever is happening is between me and my husband. I know how to manage my life. Anna, I
know you are aware of what''s going on now. It''s for you too. It''s my problem. I know how to make my
life happy. I just need your love and support. Not your advice."
My anna just patted my shoulder. I think I settled everyone.
Oops, Dhiwakar is still here watching everything. He should have not witnessed these. I should have
sent him away.
"Come in, Dhiwakar. It''s just a family drama. I will make coffee for you all."
Shanu came with me inside to make coffee.
"Hey wait. What the hell are you thinking? What is with this Smirthi? What are you nning?"
"I have no ns, Shanu. But I think she has something that makes my hubby to be with her. If it''s not
his baby, I''m sure I can win him over!"
"His baby? What the hell?"
"Pch! Don''t get shocked by everything I say. I will let you know when I need help. Now help me make
coffee."
We made coffee and took it to the hall. Everyone came back to their normal selves. When we were
having coffee, Rishi came in. He looks lost. So tired and exhausted. His eyes stuck to me and never
left. He came straight to me and hugged me tight.
Damn these butterflies. My stomach flipped over and all my skin had this tingling feeling. Everyone is
watching us, and everyone has that little smile, that tells me they are satisfied. I felt all shy and pushed
him away slightly. He has this guilt look on his face and it doesn''t suit him. I just wanted to make him
feel light.
"um... I will get you coffee." I said that and went inside. I now know no one will question me on my
decision. They all have witnessed his love towards me. I must have scared him to death. Sometimes
shock treatments work like magic.
When I gave him his coffee, he took it from me without breaking eye contact.
"Haha bro, Your wife is all intact. You can check on herter. She has just gone to lunch with Dhiwakar.

Rishi''s PoV
When I reached home, I saw 2 other cars outside. One is Dhiwakar''s. What the hell is he doing here?
The hall is filled with people. Everyone has got to know what happened. Everyone is going to question
me. I''m really angry and scared. Angry that my stupid wife is gone missing. Scared that my stupid wife
shoulde home safe. I should face them all now. I stepped in the house and saw my beautiful wife
serving coffee to everyone. I felt all kinds of happy emotions hit me right in my heart. She is so
beautiful. She just looks at me. I went straight to her and hugged her tight. I just knew that I cannot
even breathe properly without her. I just least cared about the watchful eyes in the hall. All I saw was
that my wife was safe and sound.
But she just stands there. My all-time reacting wife is now staying numb to my hug? I don''t feel her
shiver under my touch as she usually does. And the worst is, she pushed me away.
She went in to bring coffee to me. I know she is avoiding me. I should make it up to her. This is not the
right time. I will do it when everyone leaves. I can''t peel my eyes away from her. It gives me so much
rxation to see her all in one piece. She scared the shit out of me.
That is when my brother said she went out for lunch with Dhiwakar. Where the hell did they meet? I
searched for her for almost 3hrs and couldn''t find her. But how did he find her? What else does he
know?
"Thank you for the yummy and refreshing coffee, Anya. I''m d we spent some time together today. I
really loved yourpany. Just give me a call whenever you feel like it or need any help. I''m always
avable for you. See you, Anya. Bye everyone."
How dare he touch my wife? He called her ‘Anya’? Who gave him that authority to call her in short?
Dhiwakar rubbed circles on my wife''s shoulders. She smiled at him and said, "Thank you for the
wonderful lunch and the drop. I enjoyed yourpany too. Will surely reach you if I need something.
Will see youter, Dhiwakar!"
He nodded his head at me and went. She went with him for lunch and I''m all scared looking for her like
a lunatic. But here she is, had a good lunch and came home with that son of a bitch. I hate his looks on
her. He is not right. I should tell her not to trust him.
I spoke to Aakash. He talked to me like nothing had happened at Karthik''s office. I feltfortable
talking to him like that. After a while they all left except for Shanu. She said she will stay the night.
Danya’s look on her sister says it all. Danya is afraid of Shanu.
"No no! Anna, take her too!" Danya said.
"kanna what is this? Shanvi is like my daughter too. She can stay here for any long as she wishes to.
You have to be weing. Shanvi, you stay dear!" My dad said.Shanu smirked at Danya. These
sisters. They are a handful. I wonder how my aunt(D''s mom) managed these three girls this long.
Aakash, his wife Charu, and Daksha went. Shanu went in and sat on the sofa. Danya is fuming.
"You will never win in ludo against me. I thought we would y Business today. But no." She said to my
dad.
No one has ever talked to my dad like this. He was a tough and strict man. But look at him now. He
smiles at her.
"Haa that''s not happening. You said you will y honestly today." he yed along with her.
"Pch! That came in a flow. You made her stay. She is staying to scold and fight with me, uncle." she
whined.
"Why would she do that?" he asked.
She looked at me. "um... Because I went to lunch with Dhiwakar without telling any of you!"
Did she really go out with him or met him identally? If it is the former, then she deserves anything
that Shanu is going to give her. But I knew it was thetter.
