    Chapter Nine


    "Aunt, when will God cure mom and dad? I miss them." Mujtaba looks up at her, his brown orbs shining


    in tears.


    "Soon baby soon." She tells him, kissing his eyes to stop the tears. Mushk too didn''t know what to say,


    there was no proper answer to his question.


    In the evening, once the weather was settled Mushk was called at her aunt''s house.


    She knew what was going to happen and to be honest she wasn''t ready for it ,when her only family


    was not with her.


    Sitting beside Hana (Irtaza’s sister), she was in a dilemma, she didn''t knew what to do. At one point her


    brain was telling her to agree with it for the sake of children ,while her heart wasn''t ready.


    It was as usual a heart vs brain battle.


    Her heart was denying it even though Zohan was a good guy, what it doesn''t knew was that it has


    already fallen for another, albeit unknowingly.


    Mushk wasn''t really close with Hana, but she knew that Hana was a really nice girl. Smiling at her who


    was ying with Ibrahim and Murtaza while Mujtaba was outside with Irtaza.


    She didn''t knew what decision the elders were taking for her, and at some point she felt the anger


    bubbling inside her.


    Mushk knew they were no one to her, yet they were taking decisions on behalf of her.


    Shaking her head to get rid of these thoughts ,she keeps looking at the door, waiting for someone to


    And her wait came to an end, as restlessness crept inside her. Looking up ,she see Irtaza standing


    there to apany her. Mushk gets up and leaves the room with Irtaza trailing behind her. She was


    about to enter the living room when Irtaza’s next words stopped her.


    "Listen! No one is going to force you,and if someone pressurize you to say yes,then tell me. I’ll handle


    it." Irtaza awkwardly tells her, as he was not used to talk to any of his cousins before.


    Mushk turns towards him and gives him a genuine smile. She was happy that at least someone was


    there to understand her after her brother.


    Irtaza forces out a smile at her who was still showing her 32 teeth to him.


    Coming out of her trance and her idiotic smile, she embarrassingly turns away and rushes to the living


    room.


    "You should have at least smiled a little, her innocent self must have been scared and ran away from


    you!" Hana sneers at her brother looking at him.


    Irtaza gives her a nk look which had a hidden message in it, understanding his look, Hana gulps and


    hurriedly runs out of their calling him rude.


    Shaking his head at his sister who was as useless as money nt, he enter the room looking at


    everyone who were still very quite.
