Olivia sighed and stared back at Louisa who suddenly went quiet..


    “I came here to tell you this.. Dn will agree to the alliance only if you don’t want anything to do with him”


    “He won’t.. he was here yesterday and he told me that I….


    Louisa paused her speech midway… she turned on the tap and ced her hands under the running water..


    “Louisa” Olivia called out only to be ignored, she watched Louisa pull off her apron and walked hurriedly out of the kitchen…


    She followed suite and saw Louisa picking up her purse..

    Nora came down and stood before Olivia “Aunt what do you think about this dress?” she asked twirling around..


    Olivia caught Nora’s shoulder to stop her from twirling herself around..


    “You look like a princess in this dress” Oliviaplimented with a wink which earned a giggle from Nora…


    “But where is mum?” Nora asked scanning the living room for any trace of her mum..


    Olivia itched the back of her neck, she would also want to know that..


    “I think she went to get something… however we have the whole day to ourselves to go shopping and look what I got!”


    Nora gasped as she stared at the ck card Olivia brought out from her purse…


    “Wow.. what does it do?” Nora curiously asked as she ogled at the ck card


    “This little thing here is magical… you can get anything you want with it.. and guess who gave it to me”


    Nora tapped her chin for a while “Dad?”


    “Yup! you nailed it princess!”

    Dn handed a pen drive to his business associates “This contains every little detail you need about the new project”


    His assistant bursted through the door and rushed to Dn’s side.. he leaned forward to Dn’s ears mumbling a few words to him…


    Dn stood up from his seat and shook hands with the two foreign men in front of him..


    “I will send you an emailter on.. something urgent just popped up”


    The two men nodded in understanding and left his office..


    Dn diverted his gaze back to his assistant “What do you mean by ady is making a scene out there? call the security on her”


    The lean figured assistant adjusted his sses a bit “Sir you have to take a look for yourself.. I think she is well acquainted with you”


    Dn’s brows drew together, who could that possibly be? was it one of his previous girlfriends? or perhaps Olivia? nah! Olivia wouldn’t create a scene…


    He rose up to his feet and went out of his office, he was a little surprised to see who thedy was..


    “Lou?”


    The security men who were surrounding her parted ways for Dn..


    Louisa red at him walking to him in a slow pace..


    “Why? are you so shocked to see me? do you think that I am here to ruin your little office romance?” she scorned and folded her arm under her bossom..


    “Lou what are you talking about? and what are you doing here?”


    Dn questioned scanning their surroundings, he took her hands to lead her away..


    She pulled her wrist out of his grip “Don’t touch me you liar!”


    Dn was taken aback, he dismissed everyone who was in sight..


    “Lou.. I know that you are upset about something”


    “Yes I am! you cheap liar!”


    Dn pinched the bridge of his nose releasing a sigh..”You’ve been calling me a liar, can I at least know what I lied about?”


    “After all the fake pleas you said to me yesterday.. you still want to get married.. and to who exactly? to some stupid irky creature!”


    Dn lifted a brow, she sounded like a jealous wife..”Lou… who told you this?”


    “You shouldn’t be worried on how I figured out that you want to get married to Vanessa…”


    “Oh Vanessa?.. you still remembered her?” Dn asked with a chuckle..


    Louisa gaped at him in shock.. he wasn’t denying it which meant that it was true..


    She plunged herself closer to him and started pounding his chest with her fist..


    “You jerk! do you know how this decision of yours is going to affect Nora and I?”


    Dn rubbed his chest and shrugged arrogantly “I tried didn’t I? I had to agree to the alliance because you were not ready and besides that.. Vanessa loves me whereas you don’t!” He uttered in his defense… he knew Olivia had yed her role in this one…


    “She loves you? so? you won’t get married to her Dn!”


    Dn folded his arm, he tilted his head to the side to take a proper look at her reddened face…


    “Give me one good reason why I shouldn’t get married to her, if it’s valid enough then.. I might have a change of mind”


    Louisa swallowed hard “Because you are Nora’s dad!”


    Dn’s face fell.. was that all he was to her? he sighed at the end.. he didn’t expect much either…


    “Is that all? well that reason isn’t valid enough.. I’m sorry but I have urgent things to do.. by the way you shall receive the first wedding invitation card” He said with a smirk and began walking away when she called out to him..


    “It’s not only that Dn!”


    Dn swiftly turned to her again “Make it quick.. I don’t have much time”


    Louisa gulped down, she bowed her head staring at the flooring..


    Dn nced at his wrist watch, twenty seconds went by without her saying anything else…


    “You clearly don’t have anything to say.. so bye!”


    He shook his head at her and backed her once more walking away..


    “I love you!”


    Dn’s body stiffened when she spoke out.. his eyes almost popped out of its sockets…


    He faced her once more “Did you say something?”


    Louisa’s face flushed, she avoided his gaze and pushed her loosed strands of hair behind her ears..


    “I.. I love you Dn”


    Dn’s jaw dropped in surprise, his heart pounded hard as her voice reyed in his head… She loves him too.. she finally said it, after all these years…

    Martha smiled sweetly as she embraced Abby.. “Mum I missed you soooo much… even though you trouble me a lot!”


    Martha pulled Abby’s cheeks “You silly girl.. I missed you more”


    Abby stopped a servant walking by “Take this up to my room… thanks”


    She pulled her mum to the sofa to sit “So mum listen.. I have decided to tell Liam about my engagement to James..”


    The smile on Martha’s face vanished “Do you think that he will approve of it?.. look who’s in a hurry to get married now..”


    Abby blushed hard “quit the teasing mum! and I’m sure that Liam will approve of it, he understands me too well” Abby said cing her hands on Martha’s..


    Martha chuckled “you just got back.. I think you should see James first then Liam”


    Abby nodded and nted a quick kiss on Martha’s cheeks..


    “let me freshen up a bit.. gosh! I missed home..” Abby eximed…


    Aidan smiled at his mum and urged her to make the phone call..


    “Please do it mummy.. I promise it will be very quick”


    Amelia nodded and ced the phone to her ear, it rang for a few seconds before it was answered..


    “Hello”


    Amelia cringed from his deep masculine voice, she handed the phone to Aidan..


    “Aidan.. your dad”


    She called out handing the phone over to him which he happily epted…


    “Hello daddy”


    Liam sat up from his seat on hearing Aidan’s voice, hearing the word ‘daddy’ from Aidan’s mouth caused some weird bubbly feelings in him..


    “Oh it’s you Aidan.. how are you?”


    “I’m good but mummy isn’t”


    The smile on Amelia’s face disappeared, she tried to snatch the phone but Aidan dodged her….


    “What happened to your mum? is she alright?” Liam inquired rising up to his feet…


    “Nope she is not… I heard her speaking to grandma earlier that she was missing you a lot”


    Amelia’s eyes rounded, she caught up with him and snatched the phone away from him..


    “Ignore what he said.. he is telling lies” Amelia stuttered pacing around..


    “No I’m not! I also heard you crying out” Aidan retorted..


    Amelia pt her forehead, she heard a chuckleing from the other end…
