Alexander’s POV
I was so stunned at how the event turned out.
I forgot to remove my lips from hers as I felt the texture of her lips.
So soft and sweet like watermelon and strawberries.
She quickly got off me and stood up.
I suddenly felt empty, just lying there… I wanted to kiss her.
Yes that was what was in my head, screaming for me to grab her back and devour her lips.
I coughed a bit trying to clear the awkwardness between us.
I got up to meet her sitting on the couch, I walked towards her and I saw her gripping the helm of her skirt so firmly.
I crouched down close to her, facing her.
I let out a dry cough
” Amy are you alright?? That… about earlier”
” It was nothing hehe and besides we’re a husband and a wife so…” She tried to shake off the tension she was feeling.
The words ‘ husband and a wife’s shook me terribly, it felt so good to me that she referred to me as one but I still couldn’t swallow the lump in my throat.

” Can you cook??” I asked a random question that just came out of my mouth without me thinking first, I was confused at how I was feeling right now, it seemed my medu couldn’t process or function well when she was near me.
” Yeah, wanna have some instant noodles??” She asked with full excitement.
I sighed as I immediately got the message, she couldn’t cook anything else except noodles.
” No we can’t have that now, the chef is cooking dinner already,” I said as I watched her eyes to see if my words hurt her.
She only sighed as she looked back at me “Hey, I seriously don’t look like a mummy like what youpared me to earlier” she barked at me all of a sudden.
I chuckled a bit while raising an eyebrow ” I don’t know but I feel like you look exactly like one”.
She hit me on the shoulder as she snarled at me
” Can you be less brutal sometimes?”
I chuckled a bit.
” That will hurt if I do” I said, diverting the main topic but she only rolled her eyes at me while snorting
I felt amused because she was different from other girls just as Father said.
If it were other girls, they would cry non-stop while feigning hurt because of simple noodles, she just let it slide without thinking about it anymore, she wasn’t petty, and I finally knew.
Soon dinner was served
We both had dinner in silence and when she was done, I saw her slip on her chair, resting her back on it.
I lifted my upper lips ready to tease her.
” Glutton”
She immediately threw her head toward my direction in fury, I just ate nonchntly while pretending I didn’t see her ring at me
Her nostrils red up as she started staring me.
” Are you seriously a son of Lorraine Ron??”
” What’s that suppose to mean??” I asked in displeasure, wondering what brought about the question.
“You are a pr opposite of your dad” Amelia said with streamy eyes.
I scoffed “talk as if you know him personally, he’s no good” I said nonchntly.
“But do not worry when Fatheres I’ll tell him about this” I threatened.
“Tell him about what??” She asked while dropping the spoon, seemingly obedient.
I felt perplexed “Wait, are you scared of my dad but not me??”
Because I was surprised how she always bicker words with me and not giving a damn about me or my personality but at the mention of my dad, she became docile.
” I’m not scared of him, I just respect him”
“Hmm wanna y the good daughter-inw role” I snorted at her.
” Gross, why would I do that?? For what?? I thought about doing that for a moment but canceled that thought”
I became curious all of a sudden as I turned towards her.
” And why did you cancel the thought??”
She simply shrugged her shoulders as she spitted out those words
” Cause, we’ll be done with this whatever in six months” she nonchntly said the words.
I felt something left me, I felt depressed, like… I didn’t want this whole thing to be six months.
I felt vexed as I red at her “You know.. you shouldn’t be talking about what’s going to happen in six months, let’s focus on these moments” I said trying to adjust my mood.
It was I who brought the idea of six months, that we’ll be divorcing in six months but when she mentioned it, I felt uneasy.
” Yeah you’re right” she answered.
At least she was sensible and did not mention it anymore throughout the meal.
Soon I got a call from Elliot and walked out of the dining room, leaving her.
I walked to my study to make the call
” What did you find??” I went straight to the point when the call got connected.
” Don, the red Kings, and Venom are a team now, they’re nning to hunt us down”
” You know the warehouse of Lorenzo Go, visit there” I gritted my teeth in fury.
Lorenzo Go was the leader of the venom.
I narrowed my eyes, the venom were once our business partner, we sold some firearms to them to execute their mission on several asions but due to some issue, we cancelled our partnership.
So they have connived with my opponent to drag me down, never.
Too bad for them cause I was born prepared.
After making the phone call, I was about to sleep when my phone vibrated again.
Was it so hard for some people to cut me some ck??
It’s fucking midnight!! Who the hell is calling.
I was irritated as I grabbed my phone.
“Hey biggie bro, how’s our sister-inw doing??, we haven’t had the time toe greet you officially after your wedding”
It was only the stupid George who referred to me as ‘ biggie bro’.
“You know you’re irritating sometimes. it’s midnight already, you fucking hawk if you don’t sleep. I do, I’m not a sadist” I barked at him in irritation.
” Oh please biggie, cut me that shit, I and Liam areing tomo….”
I didn’t wait for him to continue as I ended the call, he might me cursing at me now.
I stayed in my study for a while, thinking about how to handle the red Kings and venom.
It was exactly 11 pm when I came out from the study, heading towards my room.
Just then I heard some noiseing from downstairs, it was a sound of something cutting.
A sound of metal hitting metal.
I immediately became alerted as I went into my study and pulled out my pistol from my drawer, holding it while heading downstairs where the sounds wereing from.
