    " Hey darling! " Jenny screeched in excitement as she sighted Caing into the restaurant. She


    pulled her into a warm hug, barely managing to keep them both on their feet.


    " I thought you''ve gotten so carried away with the bliss of marital life that you forgot your long time


    friend " She gushed out in glee, barely managing to contain her excitement.


    Ca threw her head back,ughing " I could never forget the brat I''ve got for a friend "


    Jenny pped her lightly on her arm and led them over to an empty table by the window. A few


    tables away from them sat threedies whispering, though Ca wouldn''t call it that as their


    conversation drifted clearly to where she sat with Jenny.


    " Are you sure she''s the one? " One of them with red bangs asked the other two, sparing Ca


    another quick nce.


    " Of course, I would recognize the bitch anywhere, Liam has been my crush since forever so I keep


    tabs on all his activities " A brte replied with a sneer.


    " Well, I would say ke fell for her face if you ask me, I mean look, she''s actually a looker, she has


    got the cute face and all that " Thestdy, a blonde remarked, staring at Ca with eyes filled with


    curiosity.


    " I think she tied him down with pregnancy or something, Liam would never marry someone like her,


    can''t you see she''s way below his status? " The brte suggested and the others murmured to


    her spection.


    This was one of the reasons she avoided going to the popr ces but she knew she couldn''t


    stay hidden in his mansion forever. She gritted her teeth, the nasty bitches could say what they


    wanted, she didn''t care.


    " So, " Jenny coughed out discreetly, trying to bring Ca''s attention back to her in which she


    seeded.


    " How is marriage life? How is it going with you and Liam? " She asked eagerly.


    Ca eyed her " Well, we''re fine just as we should be " She took a sip from her juice and stared out


    of the window into the street.


    Jenny threw her a re " I''m not gonna ept that you know, there''s more to it than what you just


    said, your expression gave it all away soe on, spill it out "


    Ca sighed wearily " We''re cool really, it''s just that... " She stopped mid sentence and took another


    sip while Jenny looked on with interest.


    " That what? " She prompted as she realized Ca had no intention of saying anything anytime


    soon.


    " Calm your ass down, will you? I was about to get to the point " Ca said with a roll of her eyes.

    Ca sighed again and went on " Things has been awkward between ustely "


    " It has always been right from the day one I saw you two together " Jenny cut in, interrupting Ca


    in the process.


    " Sorry " She muttered as she realized what she just did " And that''s because you keep denying the


    feelings you have for each other, sorry I spoke without being asked to " She apologized yet again,


    but didn''t sound sorry one bit.


    Ca rolled her eyes, not surprised at her friend''s attitude " You always do " She replied


    nonchntly.


    " And mind you, I don''t have feelings for him, get that into your head, Jenny " She added with a


    snap.


    " Yeah sure you don''t " Jenny fired back sarcastically.


    " You know you do, so can you please do away with the crazy, ridiculous notion that you don''t? "


    She added with a re.


    Ca shook her head " I don''t have feelings for him Jenny, can''t you just ept the fact? We''re only


    bound legally by the contract "


    Now Jenny saw red, her face was flushed in anger as she regarded her friend with stern eyes.


    " Herees the damn contract again! I''m sick of hearing that all the time! I can''t ept a stupid


    fact that is not reasonable my dear, can''t you see it? It''s so ringly clear that you have the hots for


    each other! " She waved her arms in the air exasperatedly, short of breath already.


    " Geez, why are you being so hard on yourself? You''re punishing yourself, you know that, right? You


    know the truth but wouldn''t ept it even to yourself! "


    " You''re so wrong Jenny, we both agreed that... " Ca tried to reason with Jenny but was rudely cut


    off.


    " It''s fine! I''ve had enough of all these, this is why you said things has been awkward between you


    two, right? " Jenny asked knowingly.


    " Yes " Ca answered truthfully, suddenly finding interest in staring at the floor.


    " So where did things go wrong and why? " Jenny asked again, brushing a strand of hair away from


    her face.


    The question brought Ca''s eyes up to meet her friend''s questioning ones " I just told you, didn''t I?

    " And I''m asking the reason for the awkwardness between you guys? " Jenny shot back.


    " I... I don''t know " Ca mumbled in reply.


    Jenny shot her a stern look " You don''t know? "


    " I... I... " Ca stuttered and stopped when she couldn''t get any words out without stammering.


    Jenny raised an eyebrow quizzically and sat back on her chair, folding her hands under her breasts


    " I''m all ears Lady ke, I don''t have all the time in the world, I have other pressing matters to


    attend to " She probed, which made Ca roll her eyes.


    " I thought you were happy to see me? " She asked, frowning her perfectly carved eyebrows.


    " I was, I still am, so get on with what you wanted to tell me " Jenny said, making sure to bring the


    subject back to what they were talking about.


    Ca took a deep breath " I think it''s my fault " She took a pause.


    " That? " Jenny probed further, wanting her to get to the main point already.
