    Both Ca and Liam knew that was not what she wanted to say. The words on the tip of her


    tongue were more like childish, ridiculous, immature among other things. But she held her tongue in


    check. It was probably because of her boss. Liam answered as he saw Ca was still nursing her


    anger and her jaw was set stubbornly.


    He managed to hold back hisughter " It''s nothing you need to worry about, Amanda, we''re fine "


    Amanda obviously didn''t believe him but she didn''t say anything further.


    She shrugged " Okay sir, take care Ca, I''lle see youter " and the door closed behind her


    softly.


    Liam bursted into uncontroble fit ofughter. If looks could kill, he would be lying dead on the


    floor. She threw him res that could kill and Liam could see she was beyond angry.


    " What''s funny? " She squinted her eyes like he was crazy because there was obviously nothing


    worthughing about.


    He grinned " You are "


    She rolled her eyes but said nothing.


    " Come on, don''t be childish. You look like you wanna throw a tantrum " He said with a wide smile.


    " That''s not true! " She eximed and huffed, folding her arms under her breasts.


    Liam''s eyes followed her action and he gulped, feeling his throat tightened suddenly.


    " So, have you thought about it? " He asked glumly.


    She nodded, getting serious too " Yup "


    " And? " He prompted when she didn''t say anything further.


    " Yup " She said again.


    He raised one eyebrow quizzically " Yup what? "


    She threw him a quick re " I said yes! " She said in a loud voice, getting exasperated.


    He sighed, tired of the games she was ying already " Ca be precise, is my proposal a yes or


    no? "


    " Yes " She replied quietly.


    His whole demeanor changed and heughed " Wow, that''s cool! " He said, pping his hands


    excitedly.


    She smiled bitterly " It''s funny really "


    Liam frowned slightly on hearing her words " Funny? What''s funny? "

    " It''s funny how we''re getting married and we barely know each other " She replied quietly.


    Hisughing face disappearedpletely " I know " He sighed.


    She shrugged " It''s fate I guess, so when do we begin the signing of the contract? "


    He nodded " Soon, but tell me Ca, are you ready to be mine? Are you ready to be a


    part of my life for a year? " He asked softly.


    She stared at him for a while before she nodded " Yes " She answered in a little voice.


    " When do we sign the contract? " She asked again.


    " Why are you in a hurry, Be? We''ll sign the contract soon. Let''s get these questions cleared first "


    He had moved closer to her as they spoke and she pressed back into her chair.


    He was invading her personal space but the guy was too damn arrogant to admit that and back off.


    She blushed at the name he called her. The guy sure knew how to seduce a woman, she thought


    as he leaned close and tucked her hair properly behind her ear, all the while inhaling her scent.


    " You sure you''re ready to be my wife and keep me warm every night, hmmn Be? " He


    whispered, cing light kisses on her exposed neck.


    Ca involuntarily closed her eyes and moaned softly. He sucked on her soft spot and she


    moaned out loud.


    " Hmmn... "


    " You like that? " He whispered against her neck.


    She was not in her right mind to speak so he bit her softly which made her cry out in pain and


    pleasure. He was sure the spot was going to leave a markter. He smiled to himself. Yup, he


    wanted everyone to see the hickey and knew she was his. Not yet, a voice in his head said. What


    does it matter? She was going to be his soon, he fired back. He pushed the voice out and focused


    on the woman before him.


    He trailed kisses from her neck down to her cleavage and she arched her back. He was in the


    process of going down when his phone rang. Damn! He groaned, the person had better had a good


    reason for calling him when he was in the middle of something important. It was his damnwyer.


    " What? " He barked into the speaker, not bothering to exchange pleasantries with him. Hiswyer


    knew he called at a bad time so he made his information swift.


    " Okay " He said and hung up. He looked at Ca but sadly enough, she had regained her


    composure as she pushed him away slightly. He got the message and moved back. It was the damn


    lawyer''s fault. He wished the fuckingwyer was here so he could strangle him for disrupting such


    an important session.


    He forced a little cough out of his throat " Uh... So where were we? " He scratched the back of his


    neck, trying to remember but failed.


    Ca looked just as lost as he was but after a minute, her eyes lightened up as though she


    remembered something " You said you had some questions for me " She replied in a calm voice.


    " Oh that''s right! So, before we proceed with the contract signing and everything, do you have any


    debt you''re yet to settle? "


    Her eyes widened with hope " You''ll clear the debts?! Everything?! "


    He nodded " Yeah, so do you have any family debt? " He asked.


    She frowned slightly " Did you do a background check on me? "


    He shook his head " No Kitten, I would prefer to hear your life story from, not from doing


    background check, I just asked a random question, that''s all "


    She smiled slightly " Yeah, I have some family debts to pay, that''s one of the reasons I came to


    Mexico to work and start a new life here "


    She told him about her family and her life back in Georgia.


    " I''m sorry " He said quietly when she was done.
