    Amanda went over to where Ca was sitting " Hey sweetheart, how are you doing?"


    " I''m good, I guess " Ca replied tiredly.


    " How are you finding this work? Too stressful? " Amanda asked, her brows etching in concern.


    " Nahh I''ll manage " Ca smiled, but it didn''t quite reached her eyes.


    Amanda smiled sadly " You''ll be fine, okay? You''ll get used to it with time " She assured. Ca


    smiled again, grateful to have met such a nice person in thepany where almost all the


    employees seemed to mind their own business.


    " Alright dear. I''ll see youter. Take care " Amanda turned to go out but seemed to have


    remembered something so she turned back.


    " Ca, have you had lunch?"


    Liam looked on, watching the exchange between the women. He noticed that Ca looked


    taken aback by the question.


    " Uh.... Not really. I''m not really hungry" She said quickly and Amanda frowned. Her stomach


    chose that time to betray her as it grumbled. Liam couldn''t stop himself fromughing and he did.


    Heughed till he held his stomach in pain. He watched Ca''s face flushed in embarrassment.


    " It''s okay, Amanda. I''ll handle it from here. You can get back to work please " and heughed


    some more. Amanda bade Ca bye and left.


    " Why didn''t you eat lunch? " Liam asked immediately the door closed after Amanda. He


    pinned his gaze on Ca and she looked away for a moment.


    " I lost track of time " she muttered.


    " No you didn''t " Liam stated, not believing her for a second but chose to keep quiet.


    " Anyway, I''ll have lunch brought up to us now so what will have? " He asked, his hands already


    on the inte.


    " No.... You can''t possibly..... I''m not hungry " Ca stuttered and Liam raised an eyebrow.


    " I won''t have that so you get to make a choice or I make it for you "


    Ca sighed, resigned to her fate. " Okay I''ll have hamburger and fries with water".


    Liam looked surprised and impressed, " That''s all?"


    " Just because I get a free meal doesn''t mean I''ll overdo it. I''m okay with that, thanks though " She


    replied and the corners of her lips turned up in a smile. Liam looked at a while longer before


    speaking into the inte " Have four hamburgers and fries brought up, and two bottles of water ".


    He reced the receiver.


    " Thank you " Ca repeated and shifted on her seat, putting her hands on the table. One of


    the papers fell at her sudden movement. She bent down to pick it up and in the process showed


    Liam her full cleavage.


    The office seemed hot suddenly and Liam closed his eyes, fighting the urge to walk over to


    her, ripped her clothes off and took one of the creamy, white breasts in his mouth while he caressed


    the other. His trousers tightened and he could feel his dick rise, just thinking about her. He groaned,

    There was a knock on the door, announcing the arrival of their food and Liam''s erection

    She took the package from the guy, thanked him and closed the door. She took a deep breath.


    Liam was already seated on the couch on one side of the office. She waited for him to take his


    hamburger before taking hers. They ate in silence. Liam''s throat tightened as he watched Ca took


    a bite and chewed gently. She licked away the crumbs on the side of her lips which Liam thought


    was sexy. God, how could she made eating alone sexy? He thought. The way she licked her sexy

    Minutester, they were done and got back to work, it was 3:25pm. The door opened and Alex


    strolled in, like it was his office.

    up to inform Liam she was done with some documents. Alex, on noticing her whispered, though

    " Holy moly! Who on earth is that?! " He nudged Liam by the elbow and got a smack on the


    head.


    " Idiot, don''t you know how to knock? And what are you doing here? Don''t you have a


    company to run? " He red at Alex, who continued to gush over Ca like he hadn''t heard a word


    Liam said.


    " Oh my! She''s fucking gorgeous! Liam who is she? " He nudged Liam again and Liam


    whisked his hands away.


    " Didn''t you hear what I said? " Liam ignored his question.


    " I was so bored that I thought I would pass out any minute. So I thought ofing here to


    keep youpany " He blew Liam a kiss while Liam scrunched up his nose in disgust. Alex ced


    his hands on his chest dramatically and added,


    " Thank God I came in when I did. Who knew this beautifuldy would be waiting for me? "


    He sighed and Liam rolled his eyes. Ca was watching them all the while and judging from the


    way the two talked, she guessed they were close. She didn''t say anything until Alex''s gaze finally


    rested on her.


    " Hello angel "


    " Hi " Ca replied.


    " How are you? "


    " I''m good thanks " She answered warily. Alex was handsome and obviously a flirt, she thought.


    " I''m Alex, Liam''s one and only sweetheart " Alex drawled and Liam rolled his eyes at that.


    " You see, I''m the only one who can put up with his attitude and I keep him on track most times


    ". Alex sighed dramatically while Liam groaned, tired of his friend''s Idiocracy.


    " May I know your name, princess? " He finished, giving her one of his dashing smiles. Alex


    didn''t miss the re Liam gave him but he ignored him. It was obvious Liam was taken with the girl.


    " I''m Ca Reeds " She replied politely.


    " A pleasure to meet you, baby girl " He said happily and took her hands in his. He leaned


    down to kiss her fingers in an old British way.

    have apany to run, as you can see " He finished, spreading his arms.


    " And I don''t? " Alex countered " Come on, don''t be such a bore " He turned back to Ca. " So


    you''re his new assistant? "


    " Yeah " Ca answered.


    " And he has not made you wanna quit yet? " Alex stared at her intently.


    Caughed, finding it funny " Nahh I''m doing just fine ".


    " Oh he will. It''s in his blood to push someone to the edge. I''ve really tried for him " He sniffed


    and wiped away non-existent tears.


    " Here, " He continued, " You can give me a call whenever he needs some scolding ". He gave


    Ca his number and sheughed but didn''t say anything. Liam thought it was high time he made


    his presence known because it seemed both of them had forgotten he was there.


    " Hey! I''m still here, you know " He red at them. "Why are you talking about me like I wasn''t


    with you guys? "


    Ca ced her hands on her hips and said defiantly, " Excuse you, did I say something? " She


    stared Liam down despite her height.


    Liam was at loss for words and didn''t know what else to say. Alex sat back and watched them


    like a coach who had done a good job of training his yers. He popped his hands on his chin and


    looked on, knowing he was the cause of their argument but chose to keep quiet. He watched as


    words moved back and forth over his head.


    " But youughed " Liam stated, not knowing what else to say.


    " So I can''tugh? " The fire in Ca''s eyes seemed to burn more. " He, " she pointed at Alex, "


    is the one you should talk to, not me ". She knew she went overboard this time. She didn''t know


    what to do to amend her words so she excused herself, "I need to go use the restroom "
