Chapter 6 I Can’t Swim
Just as Ba entered, she could hear cheers from the pool. The men drinking together all looked at
her.

“Herees Mrs. Lewis!” They rose. The two tall men frightened Ba. She halted. “They are also
Mr. Lewis’ brothers and shareholders of Nova.” Bill introduced them to Ba.
Ba nced at the women in another pool, noticing they were all staring in another direction. She
was curious and walked forth.
In the blue pool, a man with a good physique was swimming easily like a fish. The lines of his body
were clearly shown as he moved.
Kelvin only wore his swimming trunks. His legs were straight and strong. He’s very slim with perfect
abdominal muscles. With his tallness bncing his strong size, plus his cold and fair face, he’s very
handsome. No wonder the women were all attracted by him.
“Mrs. Lewis, do you want me to bring a swimming suit for you?”
Ba shook her head. She couldn’t swim. Several years ago, she nearly drowned herself, and since
then, she had never thought about swimming.
As they were talking, Kelvin swam to her. He rose from the water, mopping his face with one hand.
Water drops were flying everywhere from his short hair. He smiled at her. The way he looked up at her
stunned her.
She must confess that he was the most handsome man she had ever met. Once she thought Albert
was the most handsome man in her life, but Kelvin was so masculine and tough.
“Come down.” Kelvin reached out his hand.
Ba looked around. She could tell that the other women were all thirsty for him and staring at her
with envy and jealousy. Ba did not want to irritate them, so she took a step back. But at that
moment, Kelvin rose and grabbed Ba’s ankle. Ba couldn’t stand still and fell into the water.
“Ah!” Ba screamed as she sank into the water. The water was flowing into her mouth and nose,
reminding her of the terror of drowning. She struggled hard, thinking she was going to die here.
However, Kelvin held her waist from the back and supported her up from the water. Ba kept gasping
for fresh air, letting Kelvin lead her to the edge of the pool.
“You don’t know how to swim?” Kelvin put his hand under her armpit, holding her with her back facing
the edge, as if she was a kid. He held her in case she slipped back to the water.
Ba was frightened. She kept shaking her head and brushing her hair aside. When she realized what
had happened, she spewed the water in her mouth at Kelvin, “Nuts!”
Her voice was loud, full of fury after being tricked. Several men nearbyughed when they heard
Ba.
Kelvin was not irritated, but he took back his hand. Ba could feel herself sinking again. She put her
hands around Kelvin’s neck in great terror, her legs twined around him like a ko.
“I’m nuts. Why are you still holding me?” Kelvin had a desire to trick her.
Ba turned her head to the other side, “Help me up there!”
“I can help you, but not up there,” Kelvin said. Ba did not realize how erotic their posture looked, but
Kelvin did. What had happenedst night exhrated him.
Ba got wet. He could see through her white shirt and see what he had left on her body.
"You … you rogue!" Ba pped him hard on the shoulder, stirring up a ssh of water.
“You’d better stay still,” Kelvin warned her, “Or, I’ll just get youid right here.”
Ba went pale. The attention from the people around embarrassed her. She hid her head under his
chin, ‘Please don’t let anyone who knows me see this, or my reputation will be tarnished.’
“Are you shy? Don’t worry, we’ve got married.” Kelvin was satisfied with her reaction.
“Hey!” Ba got back to her mind hearing this, “I’ve just got to ask you, what are those marriage
certificates all about? It was my fault to have been mistaken you for a… But you shouldn’t coax me into
signing that! That’s not moral!”
Ba said to him severely, “Marriage should be taken seriously! How can you y with that?”
“Oh, really?” Kelvin raised his eyebrows, “But it was you who repeated to the officer that you
volunteered to do sost night.”
